I was born in Flint, MI, and attended Western Michigan University with a concentration in painting. In my artwork I address personal and immediate social issues, and examine such topics as feminism, ageism, memory deterioration, intimacy, death and confrontational experience. I also received my Personal Training Certification through the NSCA in 2014, and my Yoga teacher training at Chinmay Yoga School in Dharamshala.
Liberation is my North Star.
Currently I am based in Siem Reap, Cambodia. I lead yoga and paint here, and I love my community.

Chiang Mai is a beautiful city - my fave coffee place is there, Mountain Coffee where the owner (Papa Noi) roasts his beans in a cement mixer on location...super cool.

@@juliahaw I've lived all over (California, Paris, London and currently in Toronto). I love Chiang Mai but the only downside is that there is no ocean. It's a toss up between Phuket and Chiang Mai. Your vlogs definitely make us lean more towards CM... and the flooding in Phuket doesn't help either! LOL. Truthfully, I'd be happy anywhere in the land of smiles! We've already had a snow up to our knees and it's only November! Uggh. If we make it to CM I'll definitely try to ping you for a night out!

Hi Julia 👋 that was an awesome video. Loved it. I'm back in SE ASIA and after arriving in and walking around bkk1 in Phnom Penh, I quickly decided to return to the Philippines. It was totally a personal decision based on a lot of great stuff going on in my life in the Philippines, but bottom line is this is my heart's home. I was a bit confused about moving back to the Philippines, not feeling like I should return to living in the same area of Leyte I was living, despite it being very wonderful and like my home there. So when my bff asked me to live with her and her family near Manila, I started getting clarity about my future. I'm now settled in with the family and couldn't be happier. Pss.. Filipinos don't typically wander. I'm a wanderer and just taught my bff what wandering is about. I now have second thoughts about having taught her, as yesterday when we went for a short walk around the neighborhood wandering.. she took me a million miles away and back. Maybe you saw us 🤣
