Your tutorial was great and you gave a perfect step by step explanation. I needed to know how to do this for a game I'm playing to make it easier to hit hotkeys using the Alienware mouse. Thanks again!
OMG thank you. Default was set to back and forward browser page. So every time i picked the thing up i hit the side buttons and changed the browser page. Very annoying. You made it very easy to understand.
Thanks for the training. It really is very easy. It probably changed lately but AW Command Centre works on any PC - at least it works on my non-AW machine. Regards.
I figured out how to assign my side buttons but they only press once when I want them to hold. Example I use ‘shift’ as a macro but it only works as a single button even though I am holding it down. Any tips would be most welcome 🙏
Hey man, I was wondering if you've found a solution to your issue because I am having the same problem with my newly bought 510m Alienware mouse and I cannot figure out what to do to fix it for the life of me. I would really appreciate the help as I am stuck and cannot play any games using the mouse.
@@commanderkrang7941 yes I did figure it out in the end. I know there are zero tutorials on how to do this. I’m out at the minute but if I remember correctly you have to assign the button ie shift and then attach to the corresponding button on the mouse and then go into the options and change the settings. I’m struggling to remember but something like changing the hold down time and setting it to ‘only press once’. Until I get home I can’t really say with accuracy. Have a go and you might stumble on the solution like I did.
@@glens1800 Thank you very much for your response. I am trying to find what you're talking about but haven't had much success with it yet. When I go to settings it has "polling rate delay", "Switch primary and secondary buttons", 'Tilt", "Double Click" and "Scroll". Below where you create a macro there is a drop down menu with "Repeat Options:". I tried all of the available options there with no success. Even when using the "While pressed" option from the drop down menu the input is just registering as multiple consecutive single clicks of the button instead of registering as me holding down the button in game.
@@glens1800 I should also probably note that it doesn't let me scroll down the page that appears on the right once you click on create new macro. I have tried reinstalling the alienware command center but I get the same issue.
@@commanderkrang7941 I’m sure there is a timed option where you can select how long it’s pressed for. I literally tried everything and eventually I got lucky 🍀 and I haven’t dared try to change it in case I can’t do it again lol. But there is a way so keep playing around with it. When I’m back home I’ll have a look but I’m not home for a few days. I remember almost giving up, there are zero RU-vid videos on how to do this and nothing I could find online that helped. Like I said I just kept trying different things until it worked
Hey I just got my computer and mouse today, but My Alienware command centre interface does not show the mouse even though I am using the mouse plugged in. What am I missing?
doesnt work when i try to move my macro command to the button on my keyboard nor mouse, the lighting of it just disappears and there's no option to copy and yes I've tried restarting my command center
good channel... well-made video. Gave you a sub little miss. Sometimes the Alienware Command Center will not download to non-alienware products. However, you can download it. I have it on my computer which is set up for Corsair products.
Thanks for the video but there's obviously something wrong with my mouse as I can not create macros at all despite following all instructions here and elsewhere religiously, saving theme etc. Had nothing but problems with the Alienware ridiculously expensive laptop and the mouse, don't buy dell!!
