In this video, I'm going to show you tips and tricks on how to remember the Japanese kanji stroke orders.
Today's video was made as one of you guys have asked me in my previous video "Do we need Kanji in Japanese? [I CAN'T READ THEM...]" ( • Do we need Kanji in Ja... ) how to remember the kanji stroke order efficiently... so I hope this would be of help!
BASIC KANJI:
一 右 雨 円 王 音 下 火 花 貝 学 気 九 休 玉 金 空 月 犬 見 五 口 校 左 三 山 子 四 糸 字 耳 七 車 手 十 出 女 小 上 森 人 水 正 生 青 夕 石 赤 千 川 先 早 草 足 村 大 男 竹 中 虫 町 天 田 土 二 日 入 年 白 八 百 文 木 本 名 目 立 力 林 六
There are a few basic rules in writing kanji (for example: from top to bottom, from left to right) but only following these rules is not enough. Make sure to remember the stroke orders so that you end up with a perfectly written kanji!
I used blocks to provide visual aids and I hope they made writing kanji easier to understand. If you have any comments about this, feel free to let me know down in the comments!
Lastly, if you have anything in mind that you want me to make a video about in the future, don't hesitate to comment them down below. Would be nice to have an idea of what you guys want to see next!
See you in the next video!

Thank you so much for such a nice comment! For me, RU-vid is a marathon so it takes me time to get famous... but don’t worry! As you mentioned, I’ll keep up the great contents and deliver them to more and more people someday! Stay tuned until then 😉👍

There's a thing about stroke order that I haven't seen many people talk about and that's that the correct stroke order is also usually the stroke order that feels the best to write. but if you find another stroke order that you feel feels more natural and still is ledgible, go for it.

I'm just starting to learn some kanji and it's so daunting but this video has just made me feel a bit more relaxed and that although it's important to get it right, it also doesn't matter if my handwriting isn't perfect. This has really made me feel better about learning kanji, ありがとうございます

stroke order is important for kanji lookup on online dictionaries, it's good to get started by crunching stroke order for a wekk, and then afterward periodically practicing just a little bit every day to keep the muscle memoery retention so you can always use stroke order as a way of looking up characters you see easily even if you don't know the pronunciation/furigana

chinese here and... the stroke order for 母 is a bit different. I was taught to write the rest of the character first before the 2 dots inside.

I think the bigger question is, "do you really need to write kanji in the first place?" I'll probably NEVER be in a situation where I have to write Japanese with a pen, and if I do, there's a pretty strong chance I'll be able to use my phone for assistance or get my meaning across with kana.

Crazy music - so intrusive!! It’s a shame as I think you had interesting things to say but I could only listen to the music.
