There are two ways that we can think about trivia:
Learning how to remember trivia for winning games and competitions.
Or just being able to absorb incoming facts, no matter how trivial they may seem.
There's one tip in particular that you don't want to miss...

This is a brand new knowledge for me about exercising my memory, e.g. I never knew that a person could be a memory athlete and also practice in stressful situations. It is a good tip about keeping a progress journal with handwriting as a powerful encryption tool. Thank you so much Anthony for explaining about different techniques. Have a beautiful, blessed and prosperous New Year 2024! 🎉

Practicing mnemonics under duress is indeed one of the greatest lessons those of us who use mnemonics for learning projects can take away from memory athletes. Thanks so much for the post and happy New Year to you as well!

Hi Anthony! I would like to thank you for sharing details about memory palace! It helped me a lot in my high school studies! But I have a question. Is there any books or articles you would recommend for understanding and simplifying long and difficult information? I noticed as a university student that I can't simplify (I can sometimes understand little bit) difficult information on my own and without memory palace, I forget. It is the good teachers who simplify difficult information so that the students can understand. I want to learn how to do this. Thanks!

There will always be books that are difficult and require unpacking from someone a little bit ahead of us in understanding. So for that reason, I think you've hit the nail on the head: Find teachers that are good at explaining the information. The internet is packed with them. Does this way of looking at things make sense and help you out?

What I don't understand about Bruno is the connection between his ontology and mnemonic practice.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM
@AnthonyMetivierMMM 8 месяцев назад
We know much more about how he taught mnemonics than how he actually used them. Does their need to be a connection between the two? In my forthcoming book on Bruno I suggest that there both is and is not a connection (insofar as worldly connections are even relevant), and that is the key to his ontology as I interpret it.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM By the way, Anthony, how can I create mnemonic images faster?

The most direct way is to use the Magnetic Memory Method so that you don't have to create images in the first place.

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM No not often but like them all the same.

They certainly can be fun. One neat thing to do to practice is watch old trivia shows and memorize the answers in real time for memory practice. Then you can test yourself by re-watching the episode.

Hi Anthony I wanted to know how to memorize proportions in drawing and sculpting with memory techniques and succeed in remembering very precise details?
@AnthonyMetivierMMM
@AnthonyMetivierMMM 8 месяцев назад
What's a specific example of how you would display a proportion you want to memorize?

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM Human Anatomy, Another problem is that no matter how hard I visualize, I can't memorize details like the shape of the nose, wrinkles, etc. It's as if the shape changes in my palate. It's as if in my palate the shape changes, it's inaccurate, so I can't be sure that it's what I think it is. Is it possible to become hyperphantasia? Because no matter how much I use visualization, it remains transparent, even foggy.
@AnthonyMetivierMMM
@AnthonyMetivierMMM 8 месяцев назад
Do you have the formulas for the proportions? That's what I would like to see to better advise you. Generally, the formulas are very easy to memorize if you have the foundational mnemonic systems ready to go. Hyperphantasia is a technical term, so asking if you can develop it is basically asking if you can assume a psycho-medical condition defined by researchers. I would suggest simply working on where you're at with what you've got and define your goals much more personally without getting too caught up in terminology. Yes, those terms can be useful, but they can also create the prison we're trying to escape. Does this way of looking at things make sense and help you out?

@@AnthonyMetivierMMM If you're talking about taking measurements according to the size of a head and doing it in 8 times yes I know. I see, so I'm not going to worry about it to achieve hyperphantasia.

hello sir could you recommend a video for yours in which you have to absorb a lot of information for exams which are very near , and how to do questions from physics? thanks

Hi, teacher. I know that I cannot create mental images clearly. Which one is the correct way of visualization? I would like to solely focus on the correct one that you use. 1. We create a mental TV screen on the wall right in front of us and then see the pictures running there? Is it the correct one? 2. We just directly form a mental image running in the brain. Is it the correct one? For example, I want to see Messi, Ronaldo and I play for the same team together? Should I create a mental TV screen in my room right in front of me and then see us playing on that TV? Or I just form a mental video without create a mental TV? For me both ways, the images and videos are not clear and easily to forget the picture or video I picture? So, which one is the right one? I want to direct my attention and focus on your suggestion. Any help is extremely and whole-heartedly appreciated

I use the MMM, which involves a mixture of multi-sensory ingredients. As there is always a certain amount of experimentation involved, there is no “correct” way as such. But you can adopt better experimental processes, and that’s what the MMM is all about.
