Wow! I need to replace the cutlass bearing on my Catalina 36. I’ve looked at dozens cutlass bearing removal videos of weekend mechanics yapping about everything but removing the cut,ass bearing. This is the first one I’ve seen that addresses the issue. THANK YOU!!!
@@jennyb5755 @Superform Without addressing the method for doing so, one *could* push the old strut bearing forward up the shaft and then simply cut it off the shaft using a dremel and cut off wheel. The problem with using the new bearing to press out the old one is that you have to devise a way to accomplish this without damaging the new bearing. That's more likely the impossible part.
