Which one of them bolts can I remove to just turn the wheels by hand? Or do I have to take both off? I just bought an el Camino with no keys but I’m trying to unlock the steering wheel and put the transmission in neutral so I can push the car up on a trailer.

Imo the Best option is to take off the 3 bolts for gear box and loosen the lower bolt of steering shaft and take top one out.

If the car runs n you cab get another steering column I would just crack it and hot wire

@@papergatorzfedducca7998 you have to take off the steering shaft bolts to take off gear box but yeah it seems easier for me someone had said the shaft retracts but I couldn't make mine retract
