I love the newly added clips at the beginning of the video, great addition, good editing skills there!! I like the moto vlog style filming there at the end, also a great addition! Im currently doing up a 92 cb750 into a cafe scrambler so its great to see someone else taking on one of these bikes. I will be going for the michelin TKC 80 to give it that scrambler look but depends how much of a knobbly tyre ur looking for.

Hi Shane, great to see another Rc42 lover, I love all bikes but this build started from me watching The Walking Dead Tv series and on Pinterest looking at Cafe Racer builds, I now have 2 more bikes waiting for the Cafe/Brat/Bobber or Scrambler conversion :) Those TKC 80s are going to look awesome on your scrambler but a bit hardcore for this build :) thank you for your comment.

Cafe Racer Garage i no exactly what you mean with the bike out of walking dead its an awesome bike. Iam looking at going alot older next time really like the BMW r100 when they are converted. Keep up the good work enjoying the videos and finding them very useful.

Avon Trailrider. My brother has them on his CB550 Four. Maybe not knobby enough for you. Very similar to the Metzeler Tourance rear, but the front is the same unlike the Metzelers I,ve got TKC80's on one of my bikes and they are great on the the road too

My boys Eddie Andrew Tommy and I look forward to your vids. Any of those tires are cool. I had issues on an xs400 scrambler project I'm working on with 16" rear tires. They are impossible to find in the smaller sizes. The trail master was the only one I could find.

Hi Eddie Andrew and Tommy :) Its so cool that you guys all watch my videos together, Tire hunting is not as easy as I thought it would be. The coffee cup intro scene is just one of many little creative ideas i have that I try to add into my videos to make them fun, Kids have great imaginations if your boys come up with a short intro idea that they would like me to try I will be happy too mention them in the video If I use their idea. Just needs to be simple and short, Just Message me on my Cafe Racer Garage FB page if you think they have a good Idea :)

Man... I started watching your channel today and the whole time I'm like this guy looks familiar... Then in one of your vids you mentioned you were 9hrs away from Sydney and i was like Im roughly 9 hrs away from Sydney... Wonder if this guys on the Goldie to??? Then i saw another vid where you were doing a gumtree search saw robina pop up and then this vid just confirmed it beyond a shadow of a doubt !!! I lived in Burleigh for 8 years must of seen you around somewhere... Cool channel man definitely enjoying the content and the fact that you are building cafe racers so close to home has given me massive motivation to start my own project . Are there any places on the Goldie or Bris you can recommend for parts or to go and see cafe bikes ? Cheers

Yes! I kind of wanted you to do a cx. There are a few out there, some that I like, But I like how you approach things, it will be good. That I have a cx in the garage waiting for the car project to finish might just have something to do with it :)

I always loved the Michelin Anakee 2 (not the 3!). But dual purpose tyres are pretty impossible to find in 17" front... Otherwise, try to find race intermediate or rain tyres. They come in 17" I guess. I believe Maxxis tyres could be a brand for those.

Michelin Anakee 2 are awesome but only come is 19 and 21" :( I had no luck on the race intermediate or rain tyres, Tyre hunting is not an easy game lol Thank you for your help Pep

Love your videos. If you are looking for opinions... that bike will ride much better if you put regular street tires on it and match the front and rear wheel sizes IE swap an R6 rear wheel. Not trying to bash you or anything, I have gone down that road and ended up getting rid of the knobbies. I enjoyed riding more with a bike that performed better. Keep up the good work!

Cafe Racer Garage shinko 009 and 005 look somewhat aggressive. The Ducati scramblers run the pirelli mt-60 and people seem to like them and they look very tough on the bike! I think as long as you have the same tire size that the rim originally had, you should be able to use a “rear” tire on your front rim

Yes, I like it here. It's nice people. Lived here for 26 years now...God! Travel? Not as much as I would like. But I've done some trips in Europe. Mostly on mc. My biggest interest is the people behind. Pompeii, Stonehenge, ...who were the people? How did hey live? etc... But it doesn't have to be that "great" a monument. An old farm in northern Sweden or deep into the woods. Or the stoneage village in Lejre (DK) Love it!

Stonehenge is also something I got to experience and so glad I did, it blows my mind to think how smart they were that long ago and how they did what they did. Iceland is also worth looking into if you are interested in Viking stuff or the northern lights, If you like the woods try Yosemite in the USA its incredible or the machu picchu peru would be nice to see

Shinko 705s do come in 17" Front.. Just took delivery of a set for my mag wheel Bonneville. 120/70R17.... They are even radial.

Great video and where is this located ??? Is this Australia ? The shops can not work on your motorcycle to change a tire??? Can you just take a rim in and have them install it or install it yourself ?

Hey brotha, I have the r6 front end also and I can run 17 inch tires. You should be able to. Over here in the states they do sell Shinko 705 tires for 17 inch tires. You would probably have to run a bike tire size for the front. So the front would end up being like 120-70/17 or 130 depending on how wide you want it .

Cafe Racer Garage yes. On my build I'm going to be running 130-80/17 in the front and 150-70/17 in the back. I was thinking of running the same set up with the shinko 705. But decided to change because I wanted a little more knobby tires. If you really love the shinko 705 that's how I'd do it. Don't let anyone else tell you different, make it how you want it. Brotha. That sounds like a great idea I may look into the safety aspect of running a back tyre on the front wheel, I dont know why it cant be done! Id love to do that with the metzeler tourance but what size on the front do you think?

Cafe Racer Garage some of the big bike building shops in the states do it to bike and sell them to customers, so I don't see why it wouldn't be! It depends what size tire was on the r6 rim? I would go 150-70/17 for the back though.
