I just love the idea of hiring a professional to remove a dangerous large wasp nest from your roof and assuming hes doing it super seriously but in reality he literally just climbed on your roof and kicked it and basically sprayed Raid.

Respect what you do. In 89 I was trimming a hedge in Akron Ohio. Unbeknownst to me there was a nest bigger than a basketball hidden within my path. Being it was summer I was in shorts and a tank top. I cut it right in half and the fun began. I couldn't run fast enough to get away from them. I took over 100 stings and I'm allergic. I went into shock and was only saved by a close private doctor's office, my city worker had to carry me in and they hit me with so much epinephrine that I was shaking for hours. I spent 1 month in Green hospital in Ohio. They said I was within minutes from suffocating. Anafalaxis shock is no joke.

I ran into one of their nests in the woods one day while fishing. Got stung over 50 times. Let me tell you. They hurt pretty bad. They want blood and will chase you down. Not fun.

When I was 8 years old, I unknowingly stepped on a ground nest of bald-faced hornets. The doctor counted 58 stings and was amazed at my resistance to their venom. I did lose part of my left earlobe because it necrotized after I was stung twice in the same spot. They are definitely no joke.

I used to make the same mistake treating wasps. Leave the insecticide in the truck. Bring a 1 gallon sprayer with 8oz blue Dawn to every gallon of finished product. They don't even make it out of the nest and it stops attacking wasps on contact. This is also great for heavy roach jobs. Seriously try this next job. If you use backpack sprayers then use the diaphragm style and not the plunger style because the Dawn will strip away the silicone grease on the plunger or just re-lube it at the end of the day. I've been professional exterminator since 1998 before I get the hate comments.
