I wish this video would have been the first one to pop up in my search, I spend almost an hour cussing and nearly breaking the blinds until I found this video. Thank you greatly!
Thanks so much, this was such a helpful video and saved us from some sleepless nights! It was so clearly explained and very generous of you to share your expertise.
Many thanks for the video. I've looked at a few videos to date and the process didn't work. Your last Roller Blind was the one I needed. Great to see all the options in a row. Helps you decide which version you have. :)
Do the four types have 'names'? Mine is the 2nd type you show but my issue is that the blind in not retracting (going up) as it's very old and sounds as if it has ball bearings inside..it doesn't have a chain, it's on an inertia type retraction? Can you offer me any advice please? I don't want plastic fittings as these crack after a short time due to the window facing South and it gets hot.
Really useful video thank you. Mine was the fourth one. Now I am completely confused about how to put them back up again. None of the bits seem to fit. Would you have any advice? I would be so grateful.
If you have a look at the video , you will notice that the end you release from has a pin that pushes into a hole at the end of the blind . Once you pushed the pin into the end of the blind have a look at the bracket at the release end , you will notice it is set up so the flat end of the pin can slide into it and click into place . Line up the chain end ad then slide the release end into the bracket , it should the click inot place .
Great video covering many bases thanks. Mine is the first one (i think). I say "think" because mine seems to have a pin just like in the video, and also a smaller pin inside the main pin, but when I turn the cog wheel, ONLY the outer pin retracts and the inner pin remains and I cant remove the blind at all. I am thinking maybe the inner pin is meant to be attached to the larger pin so it all retracts together. Any ideas?
now come on over to my house....and help me because i cant get the cover over the blind off to get to it😊 ..they are cassette valance motorised solar blinds...and i cant get the cover over the roller off...
