so I have that problem with that u looking hook being pushed in and it won't come to the front, ask suggestions. trying to put the rear handle back into place
Hello amazing video just wondering if you can make a bid or reply to this comment I have a Mercedes gel 400d I can't find the hole for the screw for the rear doors anything you might help me
Hey there, Without seeing the car i cant be sure but sometimes there is a hole behind the rubber on the door, if not, it may need to have the door skin removed.
You will need to pop out the glass, tilt it forward and flex out with a wide trim tool, if it doesn't just pop out you'll need to grab a small hook tool and pull the little tabs holding it on. Inside the mirror you should see either screws or tabs (can't remember which, possibly both) unscrew and flex out the tabs to pop the cap off.
This might mean that the handle has unlatched from the silver mechanism inthe door, you may need to pull it back out with some fishing line to latch the handle on there.
@@ExclusiveWraps it was and I figured it out yesterday... But it was a 4 hour problem. I almost wish more people talked about the likelihood of that happening and the solution...
@@gabriel713281 Ah i see, Glad you got it sorted, we've worked on possibly hundreds of Mercedes and it's only occurred a very small number of times so it wasn't something we considered when making the video. I believe it has something to do with how far out the handle was and how far the screw was turned before removing the black piece, or something along those lines.
