Hey mate, I live in Norway and was quoted nearly £200 for someone to come and install a toilet I had bought. as a plumber myself nice neat job! The pan brackets have been a pain in the arse for me in the past. So that little trick you showed has helped me fit newer type WC's with that type of bracket a doddle! cheers keep up the good work!

Excellent instructional video. I would not be too happy soldering those pipes so near to the flexible waste. Knowing my luck I would end up with a major problem but in your hands no problem.

Jesus wept man! @ 4.56. Never EVER use sealant around a pan connector. Renew the blasted thing. It's a flexi pan connector! If you can't replace that, you should look for another job!

So. The wife said "we need to get a bloke in to fit the new bathroom" No chance. Challenge accepted. Never touched anything plumbing in my life so did some digging and found this cracking channel. Having fitted the entire bathroom, including re routing all the pipework under the floorboards and fitting new radiators the bathrooms spot on. However, now when i flush the downstairs toilet, the pipe makes a humming sound like the QE2 is on its way past. HHHEEEELLLPPPP 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Any ideas? :-)

Did you solve it? It's presumably some tap or valve chattering, and you just have to find out which one. I had this problem due to a bathtub tap and also a shower mixer bar.

Brilliant video! I needed to remove my toilet to get to a toilet freshener which my grandson had managed to wedge in the soil-pipe (don’t know how he managed to flush it round the bend)! With no previous experience, I managed the job thanks to your excellent instruction and saved myself a tidy sum in plumbers fees. I simply wouldn’t have had the confidence to try it without your encouraging and detailed video.

Yeah you can it will make it heavier to move to the waste pipe but yeah you can do that

Dave you forgot to tell people not to overtighten the cistern to the toilet some of em are like eggshells.If you hear a slight tick when you tighten them it's a cracked cistern and game over thanks mate.

Thanks for the video so helpful, My son placed a toy into the WC and i bought a High Pressure Drain Unblocker with Air Pump. But still no solution. Pls what could the reason? And would we need to disconnect the wc cause the style her its narrow.

Mmmph! No wall plugs used to screw the cistern onto the wall but then you use silicon which makes the cistern difficult to remove if needed and could pull away the plaster. Appropriate fixings will hold it in place without silicon.

Have you done any videos of how to properly cap off a toilet outlet? I work in a school and we’re looking at removing some toilets. I’m a plumber by trade but never done below ground pipework. I don’t want to just poor cement for obvious reasons. It’s probably something really simple just wondered what’s out there.

Hi, i wonder if before removing, might help to squirt lots of toilet cleaner if this helps make smell better? And soak the paper in bit of toilet cleaner also before stuffing in pipe, will try anyway!

A toilet blocker has been flushed down the loo and gone round the u bend so cannot be reached...can I take off big plastic flexible pipe at back without moving or taking toilet off ?

Hi I've bought a new toilet took the old one out and binned it BUT! My problem is that the toilet I have bought the outlet is 50mm lower than the soil pipe it's going into I did measure it but there was a bit of studding false wall when I removed it that's when the difference occurred plus the stack pipe is solvent weld pipe any advice would be appreciated Thanks Danny

I had a new toilet 🚽 put in today. I tried to “fix it wobbling” Short story I didn’t go well… I ended up cracking my bowl that went up in a diagonal line 😩🙈 You was absolutely correct about the smell of that flexi pipe filling my hallway and bathroom with the smell of 1000 💩💩 In 60 seconds 💯😂🤢🥴 Will be nice not to pee in the bathroom sink tonight haha 😅

Hi. I am going to attempt to remove and install a new toilet and have a few questions. Should i put silicone around the flush parts in the cistern? I have a standard plastic water pipe attached to the old toilet, should i change this for a flexible one? and finally, i haven't tiled behind the toilet yet, can i remove the cistern and do this afterwards?

our toilet at the top looks like it is coming away from the wall the screws are showing. I think the kids have been leaning back on the seat and have moved the toilet slightly. Is it just a case of lifting up the cistern lid and screwing them back in and replacing the lid? thanks im not very good at diy

I'd never use an existing Flexi pan connection like this and never apply silicone to the rubber ??? Why give advise like this ? New pan connection at very least , I thought you hated Flexi connections according to your plumberparts Instagram.oh look a Flexi ?? invaluable in right circumstances.

Come on, admit that bogs only been in for two weeks, no rusty wall screws to grind off, coupling bolts undo a dream and the pan screws whizz out without the bit making a round hole in the screws head.

First off if the person before you was stupid enough to put massive blobs of silicone you woulda had some job getting the cistern out a small bead at the top of the cistern is all you need that it can easilt cut with a blade also if your installing a toilet properly the water feed should of been moved before you tiled the solder fitting is ugly it wouldnt be visible from the left side

As a general rule you should never drill deeper than 50mm without checking for pipes or cables.

Dear Sir, when you disconnect and remove the toilet from the wall for a new one, it is very important to prepare a bucket containing some fairy liquid mixted with bleach then you clean the surrounding areas such as the wall, the toilet hose pipe that convey body discharge and the floor. Finally you can reconnect the new toilet. At the beginning of the show you complained of smell. This is the way to do it, Thank you.

I'm moving my toilet a few inches to one side as for me it's too near the bath & I want a wider bath, The water pipe was the ONLY one I never put a water valve on (sod knows why) when I 1st changed fitted ir. When I put the bowl down I drew around it then put aquarium adhesive on the line, the bowl stuck like 💩 to a blanket!!!! It's such a solid/sturdy fit, I also used aquarium adhesive to reseal one end of the bath about 5 or 6 years ago, still as good as new. I keep aquariums so I always have some handy. The ONLY pooe valves I use are the lever type, the slotted one's are NOT worth 💩 & WILL seize before 1.5 years are up if your lucky, the one's with the red 'wheel' are not much better. If there is a leak you don't want to hunt for a flat ended screw driver to turn the valve.
