Great video, Tony. These are not easy repair jobs but the detail you show in these videos really helps the DIY'er! I have to do the EGR cooler replacement - and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and replace the turbo also since I'll have everything off. I've got about 100k miles on my '06, but not sure what the life of these turbos are.

If it’s still running good I wouldn’t my turbo looked pretty original and there wasn’t any documentation of it being replaced from the previous owner. It’s safe to say mine lasted about 200k miles.

Great video! I was just under my Jetta trying to figure this out. Glad to see i was right that pulling the axel gave the best access. Also i love my BRM and really enjoy working on it.
