W205's rear camera isn't working, so I replaced the camera, but the symptoms don't resolve. When gear R is running, the rear camera is running for about 2 seconds, and then the screen goes back to the menu. And the lid of the rear camera won't open. I forced it to open, and the camera screen comes out, but the still goes back to the menu after about 2 seconds.

Thank you for this awesome video! Do you know if we can replace the camera ourselves or does it require reprogramming? Rear-view camera on my 2016 C300 is broken so I am thinking about replacing it myself..

Hi. I just purchased CLA 2016 C117. My trunk opening handle looks exactly same as in this video. I'm not sure if the camera is broken or is there even a camera because in display there is a setting to activate camera when putting in R and another option is for opening camera lid. I'm not sure what is going on. Do you have the video after you installed that and camera popping out or some other helpful video? I would appreciate a lot for the help.

All radios they have that options. Contact Mercedes parts department and check your vin number to see if it has back up camera or not.
