Thanks for the simple, easy to follow tutorial. My wife and I were able to complete the job of replacing my 330i passenger seat belt receiver ( and pretensioner assembly) with little trouble. Embarrassingly, we had to partially reinstall the seat and reconnect it to power to adjust the height back to midrange in order to get the yellow wiring harness through the seat support frame. I had incorrectly assumed it was hard wired to the seat belt assembly instead of simply plug and play from the rear of the main (yellow) harness because that's how I got the part from a local wrecker. When I looked closely at the part Pelican sells for $152 I noticed the truth immediately. But thanks again for helping us to even attempt (and accomplish) the job. Dale&Edna

PS: My wife is still with me (after 44 years) and has helped me with quite a few repairs and upgrades on my car including oil filter stand, valve cover, complete cooling system replacement, shocks/struts, sway bars, all pulleys and tensioners, etc. Our next project is to install the Shark injector software from Turner. But I would trade the car, enjoyable as it is to drive, in a heartbeat if it got between me and my girl. So, for those of you with the gf comments ( which were funny) I hope someday you will be lucky enough to find a partner to do life with long term.

The one video know one shows is, how do you remove the seat to change your seat motor if te seat does not move and the seat slides are over the bolts so you can not gain acess to the rear or front bolts. My seat is stuck all the way back and the motor is bad. Can not gain acess to the rear bolts. Any suggestions?

Hi. I removed the seats on my ‘06 330Ci for interior deep cleaning. Forgot to disconnect the battery so airbag light came on which has been reset using the BMW software. My big question, now that seats are back in place, I noticed that the side view mirror switch (incl reverse tilt) and driver side lumbar switch stopped working. (Passenger lumbar still works) Checked the fuse #57 and it is good. They were working prior to seat removal. Pls help where else can I look. Thank you.

+energymc22 Airbag light will only trigger if you turn on the ignition. I would still recommend removing the negative terminal.

Hey shop life, love your videos. I took out the two front seats on my e46 to give it a good cleaning. Now my airbag light is on, I tried resetting it with icarly tool, but it won’t reset. Any advice? Congrats on your channel wish you much success.

I have taken my driver and passenger seats out of my e46 but the canbus stuff dont I need to take them out aswell and just have it hooked up under the bucket seat? Then I dont get airbag lights and no beeping sound?

thanks for the video... i own a 2002 325ci convertible , i need to remove the drivers front seat so i have access to the retaining clips for the seat module. i have removed the 4 bolts and yet the seat is not free . the drivers side rail seems to be attached, i noticed 2 small screws at the base of the rail do i remove these?

No, there are only 2 16mm nuts in the front and 2 16mm bolts in the back. Then just the wiring harness and seat belt.

I have a 2001 325xi and want to put aftermarket seats in. Is there anyway to keep the airbag light from coming on with aftermarket seats? Some sort or plug on that keeps the light from popping up? Or will I just have to live with the airbag light?

Bro help pls, i removed my seats to clean the carpet first i removed the nevative from battry and then after i did all the cleaning and hooked all the seats back i plug the negative back to the battery and now i have eml light on dasb, car wont crank or start, it was unplugged for like 30 minutes what do i do

Dear Jason, I have 2001 BMW 316i sedan E46 with manual seats. Once I was cleaning under the driver seat and I just slide the seat to the last and once cleaning was done and I started my car and I had my Airbag light on !!!! I have done scanner and it says it is from Driver seat !! What is the solution to turn off Airbag light in my dashboard ? Thnx

Hey bro you know how to fix the heater on the seat? I have a 99 bmw 328i and the passenger side seat heater isn't working, well sort of. So when there's no one on the seat I go to click the heat button and it lights on and works just fine but when theres someone on it, the button light would like flicker and it doesn't stay on. I checked the switch it self and it works fine. You think in might be a sensor under the seat?

Have you checked the fuses? Also look and see if the wires are damaged.

+bmworld It is possible but you might have to do some wiring. I'm not sure if non power cars are prewired. Check under your seats and see if there is any wiring tucked away that is not being used.

+Niels Wens It is quite easy to swap the seat rails around (only 4 bolts on the bottom) and the motors and what not. So it should be possible.

The driver seat has no seat sensor, bypass this and It works. Now my driver seat has sensor and passenger is always occupied. No errors.

yes it worked. Had to buy a little plug to simulate the seat sensor since only 1 seat has it (airbaglightout.com). Little downside is that the seatbelt catches a little bit on the folding-knob(no biggy). Unplug the carbattery during seatswich to avoid airbag warning!
