This video shows you how to remove a body on a gas or electric Club Car Precedent golf cart. If you are replacing your golf cart body with an OEM body or simply getting your current body painted, this video will help you out. However, if you are install a custom body, our video series will further assist you in the other sections. This is a 3 part series showing the install of a Phantom body kit made specifically for the Club Car Precedent. Please check out our other videos for the remaining videos.

I just purchased a redo on a 1999 club car. I noticed when someone is sitting in the back the body will rub on the tire when turning. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this. Will new shocks make a difference?

Hi There, your viedos are well done, informative, and very easy to follow. One question - how hard is it to take the roof off? I may want to go a month or two in the summer 'led-less'. Thanks!

Greg Beltran the bolts up at the top on the inside are all it takes to remove the actual roof. But you will probably want to go ahead and remove the support bars. That is simply follow the metal and look for the mounting tabs.

how easy or hard is it ti remove the body on a 2003 club car ds?

I have a 2017 Yamaha gas golf cart. Sometimes when you press the gas pedal the brake releases and nothing. Then all of a sudden it goes. A hesitation totally. Makes no noise as if the key is off then it kicks in. I live in the villages Florida where the golf cart is your main means of transportation. So it is kinda a safety issue when you cross a street. They changed starter switch did nothing. Help would be greatly appreciated

Check the brushes in the starter generator.

Check for a wire splice that is possible. From the battery selenoid to either the charge input or the supply. Exact thing happened to me and took months till I found it. The splice would give enough contact to make it run and then when the splice warmed up or shook it would intermittently slow and then go again when it arc. Once I soldered it and put a sealed heat shrink it never did it again. It was really hard to find but takes patience.

I have a 1996 club car. I am wanting to put a 6in lift kit and rims and tires. The batteries are good. Is it worth putting money into.

i have a 01 club car gas powered and it turns over but it seems like its building to much presser and i have no idea why i have looked every where and no luck finding the fix to it

+dc anon First, check to see if you have spark. Then check to see if you have fuel coming into the carburetor.

both good i charged the battery and the oil looks good and is on a good level

+dc anon the electric starter will struggle to turn some engines when the valves get too far out of adjustment and restricts airflow. acts like jake brake.

hello everyone .....I have a 1986 Club Car DS and can not find a canopy top anywhere...im wondering if anyone knows what other year could be used as replacement.....any help would be greatly appreciated

No, totally different shapes and designs. Even some of the suspension is different.

Personally I like the DS body style better. That's just me.

@@kevinmoore4807 Yes, the DS has a more "classic" design and much more sensible headlight placement, etc. I too prefer DS to my Precedent which reminds me of a watermelon in the front nose design :-)
