I tried fishing with minnows for the first time in years this weekend and caught quite a few large bluegill and hybrid bluegill. Also caught a few little bass and a perch, but no larger bass, which is what I was hoping to catch. I'm hoping the fish do a lot of growing this year. It's hard waiting for them to grow up after a fish kill.
Interesting that the bluegill were the main species to hit the minnows. Do you feed pellets to bluegill? Hang in there, the waiting seems long for sure. The bass should grow this year with the bluegill spawn in a couple months.
@@newnatureadventures Yeah we have some pretty big bluegill and hybrid bluegill. We do feed them pellets on the weekends when we are there. I know there are some bass and crappie in the 12 inch range in there, but none of them ate the minnows. Definitely gonna try some more.
