I'm pretty sure it's possible, but most likely, you would need a software for adoption.

Hi David, good point - I didn't have the reason to remove or replace that unit at all. At that time I had fun fiddling with my Audi and trying new things (following some manual) - so I've put this video out in case if someone will need to get those controls out.. Rather than that, I find this video pretty useless :) If MMI reacts to your controls, I would presume that they are fine, for reassurance maybe scan or find someone who can scan with VAG-COM? By resistor module - do you mean that control unit/module in a shape of a brick attached to it? Thanks for you help, the garage sorted my issue "they said there was an issue with the control unit that also made my resistor module (yes the thing that looks like a brick)". Not sure but after a bill and everything working my mind is at rest. I found your videos really helpful so thank you, I don't have Facebook hence the reason I didn't contact you there.

+WheelsAndMotors it's a really small fan behind the climatronic unit that sucks air from the cabin over a temp sensor, mine has stopped spinning so now I only get warm air

I think that would need an adoption with a software, like VCDS

beli chelsea As far as I know, even if you raplace with the same one you still need adoption using computer (vag-com). I believe what you planning to do is possible, but depwnds on how complicated is the procedure to adopt new unit. What I would do - before buying new unit, find a specialist with diagnostics software ask how, when and how much. I never tried to swap to different one, but the manual says that they need to be installed with a computer.

so what you are saying is that i can replace and i need to conect with computer when i work with klima to show in bord computer give me some hopen i hate this klima that i have i buy the other model yesterday how % are hopes to work?

What I'm trying to say is that anything is possible. I have a friend who put Subaru engine in his old VW T25. And what I presume you are trying to do - is to install climatronic from restyled model, same A6 C6 chassis, but restyled. Is it easy or not - I don't know. All I know how to remove and unplug the unit and plug it back in. And that manual says it needs to be adopted with computer. What exactly needs to be done to make new restyled unit work - I don't know. That's why I recommend, before you spend money on the new unit - speak to specialist (I'm not the one) to find out how easy it is and how much will it cost.

Did you try to add yourself? I normally get it to garage that have big clever machine that cleans, pressurises system also checks for leaks.. If that doesn't help then I would blame compressor. But in my experience - if pressure is right, but compressor doesn't work, ECON button can be put on and off.

+KURDISTAN uk If Ac switch (Econ) doesn't go off, normally it's a sign of low pressure in AC system. Fan at low speed only - check/replace pollen filter?

i put my scanner come up .. ac control fault,, im not undrstand why over heating ,, all pie get worm but the termostat pipe is cold,, yestrday i order new termostat i fit but still over heat,,thnx mate

look hot air not working im replace timing belt,, after that when i take of pumber ac gas come out,,then i put back all thing car start hot air come but ac button dosnt go off and engine over heating,, check my you tube i have vidoe put on today thnx

In that car AC button called "Econ". When it's on - means AC is off. Like "Eco" mode. Weird setup, I agree.

Roheline Puu I don't think they are "plug and play", you would need a specialist to program it to your car.
