Thank you for making this video, I have no power windows or door locks and I could not figure out why it would not come off when I followed all the other content providers described. It was the winow roller that you described and then the panel came off, thank you again & take care.
You don't need to remove the crank knob. Just slide a flat screwdriver down the sides at the mount end and pop the cover off and let in dangle around the knob. Mine was a #25 torx bit to remove the screw. Note to engineering, stop using every different kind of fastener on a common assembly. All these screws should be hex drive, torx drive, whatever, and preferably a common size.
There is a rail that the window goes up and down on. It probably needs a little bit of white lithium grease. Remove the door panel like shown in the video and add some white lithium grease to the rollers on the inside of the door. This should help you significantly. Anyone can take a door panel off, the right way or hard way. Putting it back on... That can be a pain. Why? You forgot how you took it apart. An old fart.....
