A massive thank you. I was able to remove one-year old dried gum from my ski pants in 5 mins. The fiber of the ski pants are much tighter than jeans' fiber and are synthetic, I only had to rub gently with my fingers and finger nails to get the dissolved gum off. Washed the pants twice in the washer, they are like new. Please PM me so I can buy you a beer.
You were kidding but actually this was some of the best sh*t I saw this year! The fakeness of the other videos was driving me crazy - I mean peanut butter... seriously? Great detailed shots of the problem and solution. Great that you set a baseline first - very scientific. FYI as well as scraping, I also found that just rubbing with a paper towel after applying the WD40 worked (i.e. the gum dissolves so much that some of it can be absorbed away). Great vid, thank you!
Thanks for this. I am looking at my long sleeved denim shirt with a piece of Mentos gum in the pocket that I missed before running it through the washer and dryer. Since I have no dental or clay modeling tools I will use my Swiss army knife. As gently as I can. I will try goo gone initially.
dude - surprisingly - that thing cleans out mmmmega easy detergent is way overkill the lightest hand soap .. DOVE for example .. is strong enough to clean it off
