@@marquisetruss2403 the 20 volume developer is basically what makes bleach work etc i easy way to try and strip hair dye is vitamin c tablets and head n shoulders

@@aryaaboo late answer, and you’ve probably done it already. But personally i replaced the dishsoap for shampoo and used bleach london silver shampoo and it worked fine, I also tried it with tresemmé flawless curls and they both worked the same, so I think any shampoo works. It took my hair from pink back to yellow blonde, but heads up, didn’t work on the green part of my hair.

It didn't work for me. I have Garnet hair and it didn't do anything! What should I do!?!

@@aryaaboo dandruff shampoo would be best since it strips hair color. could mix it with purple shampoo if youre looking for a toned look

So, Head and Shoulders instead of Dawn, but still use developer and baking soda?

I only used head and shoulder and dish wash soap and that worked. I rubbed my hair in sections in the shower to make the color get out of the hair. No baking soda og developer bull crap.

Angela Schepperle I did this twice and it faded to a light peachy red colour, then I mixed Igora Absolutes ‘dove grey’ and silver toners (with developer 10v) and now its back how it was before the red! I had washed out a lot of the red before doing this though, it was red on my natural blonde and part red, part light blonde on the ends ☺️

When I died my hair teal I couldn’t get that shit out either. Nothing worked. I ended up having to go to a salon and getting it dyed a dark red/burgundy to get rid of it then started going blonde :( was one expensive impulse

Blue is the hardest of all colors to get rid of, its also the base of green so green is also notoriously hard to remove because of this. This method will work on those colors but it takes several treatments to fully remove. Unlike reds and yellows which strip super easily and can be gone in just one treatment.

@@coralroberts7795 I think it removes color over whatever color you have underneath and takes you back to that. Its not a method in becoming blonde.

@@daniquevanderleij30 Dont!!...If you have blonde hair, and you make it brown..you will most likely end up with a greenish silver version. not a rich beautiful brown. They do recommend doing a reddish base then the brown...Im on here cuz I did the brown and also hate it!

FYI blue is the most stubborn color of all to try and remove. I tried everything and the end result to finally getting it out was to bleach it twice. I will never again go blue! Lol... buuuuuut I recently just went all purple. Loved it at first. And although it looks good ... I really reeeeally miss being blonde. I just don't want to go thru what I did before with the blue. So hoping this works for me. Wish🍀me🍀luck!

@@flexstoryhoodies that will be hard too.... but I'd say try to strip it with product from the store. Condition it a few days with masks, strip it again, then bleach. It'll take a few bleaching sessions... maybe twice. But be sure to give a week break in between. Condition condition condition!

Instead of purple shampoo add green shampoo to your formula because green is opposite red in the colour wheel so it will neutralise the red tones in your hair

I did it using 20 vol developer, I’m mixed so I have semi brittle hair. And it was already bleached a few months before. And I had no damage after removing the color ☺️

What color and type of dye you used will make your results vary. If you used permanent then it takes several treatments but it will take you back eventually and you have to live with the fading into perhaps some less than nice colors, it will also be very slow so its hard to notice it at first. However, as far as I am aware there is no other method that will return your natural hair color as bleach just permanently strips it. If you did it once a week you could be back to normal in a few weeks or months (depends on the color) If you used semi permanent but used a blue or green, it will make a noticeable difference in fading it pretty quick but blues are very stubborn and will also require more than one treatment. I was forest green and now want to go silver and purple so I am stripping mine with baking soda and dish soap once a week then rinsing out with anti dandruff. I am 3 treatments in and its now a light minty blue (blue+Yellow=green, yellow strips easy blue doesnt). I am assuming with 3 more treatments I will be back to full blonde. I do it once a week to keep it from being damaging. But yes this treatment will work no matter what, its just a matter of color and time.

@@krislanwayman7830 I am assuming you dyed your hair a color that was a green base+another color to get whatever dye color you used. Green is the hardest to strip, so when you did this the other color that the green was mixed with stripped very easily (reds in particular strip very easily). This left you with just the green. If you keep using it the green will also strip entirely but it takes several treatments to remove green. I was forest green and after 3 treatments its minty blue (blue is the hardest to strip, the yellow comes out and leaves blue). I am assuming with 3 more I will be full blonde again. A hair salon will give you immediate results but it will be bleached and thus strips your natural color. As far as I am aware the only way to return to your natural color is with the dish soap+baking soda. But it does take time with jewel tones or permanent dye and it may not always look nice in progress.
