Small car with the 350 engine. so not that bad on gas but also light enough that the power is pretty good! The only drawback if if you want to get tall adults in the back seat. But honestly, that hasn't ever come up for me.
Hi Laud - tnks for the great video!! It was very helpful, for mounting of diamond grill on my 2017 glc350e, with camera. I can confirm there are some challenges to get the old grill out, but fully possible without too much hassle. I spent 3 hours, working slowly and carefully. You have covered most of the details very well :-) i found it helpful to loosen the two body screws next to the headlights, on top of the frame. That made it far easier to loosen the scoops on each side, as well as mount them back. My car has camera, i made a small whole in the grill (unvisible from outside), used a plastic strip to fasten the fuse holder on the backside, next to the star... Thnks again for your inspiration to succeed!!
You all probably dont care but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
Just finished installing a GTR-style Panamericana grill on my wife's '19 GLC in about an hour thanks to your excellent tutorial! The only issue I had was that I had to trim just a bit off the top grill mounts to get the long top deflector piece to sit flush when I reinstalled the push fasteners. Thanks!
Hi did you insert all the air scoop clips back on with the Diamond grill (3 side cips on each side I think) or have you just managed to keep it on position with out actually clipping it back on? what does the air scoop do, is it critical to put them back on? thank you!
Hi, Can just tell me how did you remove the tree clips that are together on the rign and the left because I removed everything till the tree clips that I speak about and I couldn't never removed it..but takes a l9ng time to do it because it's not really easy...please answer because clips part is not shown in the video.. ragards
Hi, loved your video and would like to know where you got the Diamond grille used in the video. i have a 2018 Mercedes GLC 300, and want to change it out to the diamond grill but cant find one, that does NOT have the camera hole and also comes with the three mounting arms on the top and last the star in the middle already mounted. Just like the grille you used in the video. Thanks
Hi - Where did you buy the grill and emblem to fir for GLC 300 4 matic ? It seem a the emblem for this grill is different from original which has a casing
I need your help please - I want to install the Panamericana grill for my GLC, but I have a question: Does the Panamericana grill model with 360 degree camera fit for my GLC which does not have a 360 degree camera?
Hi I have a GLC 300 2020. Does anyone know how to take out the emblem in order to replace with illuminated star. Not sure if it pops out by prying the front face or do we have to take the grille out and pop the clips from the backside?
Have the exact same vehicle in the exact same color. And I’m thinking of replacing the grill with the AMG style vertical grille. Where did you get your diamond grill?
Thanks for the video sir, very clear indeed! I'm thinking about changing mine but was told it'll interfere with the distance and/or other sensors of the car. Did you find that was true and affected some of the computerised features in the car? Also, where can we buy a diamond grille?
Living Life LAUd hey, I’m curious as to the pricing of the grille, as when I looked on amazon and eBay the grille is usually around $150 US dollars, but you’re saying it’s $1000? Is that due to you purchasing it in Singapore (I believe you said), directly from a Mercedes dealer, or would the ones from amazon be low quality or something? Thanks 🙏🏼 !!!
My diamond grill doesn’t come with the mbz logo. I was told I could use from the original grill logo. But how do I take the original mbz logo and attach to the new grill?
It would’ve been helpful if you had of shown how you took the air scoops out, this is the part that I’m stuck on and can’t get past. Did they just slide up after releasing the catches?
Living Life LAUd can I ask what was the price, so you have the paperwork with the item number on it. Please let me know so I can contact my dealer. Thanks.
You can get it in Singapore for abt $1500. You just have to ask your dealer for the GLC SUV diamond grille. I'm sure they would know since they're a Merc dealer.
It took me ages too, you have to use a long flat head screwdriver and a torchlight to see exactly how to pry it open. Keep at it and it'll come out. Good luck!
You should mention that it‘s impossible to reinstall the airscoops, because their is absolutely no space for your hands. I installed the panamericana grill with your instructions but didn’t manage to reinstall them.
At the local MB dealership they told me the complete front-bumper needs to be removed to get the diamond-grill installed..... It seems not to be neccesary in this video, why ??
+Gunnar Aasbø there's also a grille with the 360 deg camera socket. But maybe there's some wiring that needs to be done so the bumper must be taken out.
@@LivingLifeLAUd I can confirm the camera/wiring does not make a difference; the installation is similar as without camera. Just look at the video by Laud, work slowly - and smart... and find a nice way to mount the cameras fuseholder .
The video actually does not show the complete steps to remove the grill. Especially when trying to remove the 2 plastic parts (left and right) in the video they suddenly are removed and the new grill has been placed. I am sure there were needed more steps to remove the two plastic parts before being able to remove the original grill . So please people when uploading anything then just be clear and include also the most important and difficult steps. This should not just be a to show off or to perform personal needs.
All the steps are there actually. As mentioned, you need to unclasp it and then wriggle it out. Its tough, but you need to do it to understand how its done... Seems the others have no problems...
I agree with u because I tried to do it but the real hard part is to remove the 3 claps on the right and the left. Really dificult and this misding part shoul be shown in the video..
I just did this swap on a 2017 C300. It is definitely not the same setup as this! Thank God I own Japanese cars that actually have good Engineering in mind so that people can work on their own cars with ease not like these complicated European piles of trash!
@@501fender Its not actualy very difficult to remove scoops. There is video from some russian guy showing it. I loosed bolt that keep grill, than released top clip that keeps scoop, than lift scoop top part where small pin is. After it just slightly force scoop inwards and it should go out. Scoop is quite flexible and will not break. My problem is double clip on right and left side that keep grill in place. Cant take off that one :)
