Thanks mate 🙂👍🏻 I just picked up an l100 for free. The deck needs a bit of work and I was wondering how to remove it so I could work on it. This video was perfect!
IF you find a manual, you will find you need to get two short pieces of 2x4s and place one FLAT under the outer edges of the deck to relieve pressure so the pins will come out easily and do te same thing when putting the deck back on. Makes it so much easier. Again, like you see here the adjuster should be all the way down. You can move it up to make it easier to move the deck out and back under.
@LazyGrandpasGarage Thanks. Couldn't figure out where the damn spring hooked back onto. Haha Still has a bit of a bent & rusted to crap deck, but it's got new blades after 4yrs now. 👍
The 10mm bolts that fasten the bracket, that holds the adjustment cable to the deck (4:22), do you know their length? I'm missing one and have to replace it. Also, if I turn the deck over to clean the underside, will the belt remain in place, or will it fall off? Thanks.
Have you ever had to level the mower deck. Seen other videos. But yours is the only one. That has some hanger set up as mine. Hope to see if you ever put out a leveling video. Thank you.
At this time I do not have a leveling video. The two bars in front is what you adjust to level. Be sure to use a John Deere leveling tool, blades should be in front and rear position when doing so. Always make sure all tire are inflated to proper PSI before starting the leveling process.
i have a l100 but my back brackets have no way to slide them anywhere just a bolt hole on brackets and deck..problem is it mows too low even up on the highest setting driving me crazy
