That stop position is in the left on the models which are later than 2001 I think. I think you should start the engine in stop position also in that model if everything is in mint condition. If there are some errors it only starts in neutral position. At least it starts in that my lupo in that stop position which is up to 2000 year.
hy again:) Quick question: If the car is running and you put it in stop position should it stop the engine or not? I've got a lupo 1.4 fsi which has the same gearbox i guess (the gear lever had the position a little bit different - the stop is on the left after reverse). Should you be able to start the engine if the selector is on stop?
