Attention after your hosting gives you the okay. you must restore from backup. go to site back up pro and restore last week or month.
NOT day because malware could be in it. Also install the free wordfence on all your websites and activate so it don't happen again.
How to remove malware from my wordpress website. Enter your c-panel and then your file manager. download the malware.txt your hosting put there for you. erase each line like in the video. Do not miss a line but don't worry once your hosting scans it again they will tell you if there is more. Also I forgot to mention plugins folder. Just remove the malware from your wordpress site.

Also get word fence after you get your site back up so it don't happen again. activate auto updates.

I appreciate your video and expertise! I see that you're deleting files, but won't clean versions be required to run the site? And why wouldn't you just dump all of the files and restore the site via a backup? What's up with all of this malware on bluehost websites, it feels like extortion to buy SiteLock services.

That's exactly what it is. I had 10+ sites never an issue and now all are down and Bluehost wants to charge me 299 per site to get them back.

The only problem with this method is malware not only creates new files but it can infect existing ones. So if you go line by line and delete it you can delete files needed to run your site.
