Here's all you need to remove odor from your shoes: amzn.to/3TdVvnq
Here's how to remove odor from shoes fast and pretty permanently. If you struggle with smelly feet, or your shoes stink to high heavens, then using this method to remove the smell from your shoes will help you out greatly.
I recommend that you just jump straight into using one of the suggested solutions instead of messing around with shoe deodorizer spray or random home remedies. As they only mask the problem, while ethanol or similar actually kills the bacteria that makes your shoes stink.

You know, now that you said to just use alcohol, it makes so much sense even though I never thought of it before. The alcohol actually kills the bacteria causing the smell instead of just masking it. It's pretty wild this isn't more commonly known (at least I don't think it is)

Finally a solution!! My shoes are in leather so I can't wash them. Classic Norwegian winter boots. Problem is, some idiot thought it would be smart to design them with synthetic materials on the _inside_ of the shoe! It's been developing a nasty odour since last winter, and I haven't used them since then. Put them on today, and what do you know. Still smells horrible! I just ripped out the soles and covered them in rubbing alcohol. Thanks man.. Really thought my last option was to throw them out.

Tsk, tsk, I would have hoped for better from Norwegian winter boot creators! I am glad to hear it worked out well for you. I'd advice you to be really careful with the alcohol on real leather though as it can dry it out very quickly.

Thanks, this is great! I put my shoe on the other day, it was a tight fit so I hooked my fingers into the heel inside to get a good grip on it, and afterwards my hands smelled so bad lol!! I only just bought these a week ago but it's been unusually warm and sunny here in Scotland. So yeah I'll be trying this out. I do have a lot of isopropyl alcohol that I use for cleaning electronics so I'll try that, but I'm a bit worried it'll evaporate too quickly before it soaked in and kills the beasties. Thank you for the tips. I have been actively doing sports and my shoes starting to smell. Tried putting it under the sun, but didn work tat effective. The moment I wore back and sweat, the smell comes back. In an open area, i could smell it within 3ft away. Lol. So, I've tried out using isopropyl 70% ( namely rubbing alcohol or surgical spirit, could get them from your local pharmacy). Bought a litre of it, put the alcohol in a bottle sprayer, spray em on my soles and shoe, wait for it to dry (about 30min cuz I sprayed quite a lot), and 95% of the smell jus vanished. It really does works. Now jus have to try wearing em back and see how long will it last before the smell comes back.

It is great to hear that the isopropyl worked out! I have been out traveling a lot in the tropics lately with a single pair of shoes. Spraying the soles when they start to smell, and then the rest of the inside from time to time seems to keep the smell away at all times. Also, great idea to buy a large bottle. I'm going to do the same when I get home.

Top notch. Ever since I hit my teens I've always struggled with my shoes smelling. The problem would get so bad that if I wore socks for a few hours they would smell just as bad as the shoes. My grandparents and parents used to spray mine and my siblings shoes with a deodoriser but that brand discontinued or went bust, I can't remember. It worked very well but I tried different brands and nothing really works. The best one would make my shoes smell nice for a few hours and would "stop" smells developing again for the duration of that day but needed spraying again that night ready for the next day. I don't know why but I never really thought to consider alcohol. It makes sense, if it kills bacteria on your hands then it should do it for your feet/shoes too. I've sprayed the shit out of my shoes and I can smell a faint whiff of iso alcohol. Will soon see if it completely gets rid of the smell tomorrow morning. Because it's caused by bacteria I'm fairly sure the smell will be gone. Also if it has not only is that a positive but the other one is that I now have a use for the 3x 4L of 90% Iso alcohol that I bought a week into the Covid Pandemic. Before anyone judges I bought more than that and I had to get so much because I was shopping for my vulnerable grandparents and had to dunk every packet or can of food to completely sanitise them before taking it in to them. This was before all major food shops started doing this themselves but still did it after they started anyway.

Definitely is better than most methods out there. But nothing eliminates the stink better than a proper handwash with laundry detergent. Unless your shoes is made out of leather.

Giving the shoes a good cleaning once in a while is smart! Not only for removing the smell, but also for keeping them looking nice and clean. But for just keeping the shoes and my feet smelling nice I prefer just using rubbing alcohol since it is a lot quicker, and very effective

I tried washing them, disinfecting them with Lysol, baking soda, nothing seemed to work. I just tried this! I think it worked! Can't wait to see or smell the results tomorrow!

Hi! I’m a little confused. Just put alcohol in the sole and no need to directly to foot? Sounds to good to be true 😁 but I’m trying today

A friend of mine recommended using citrus peel. Give it a little pinch inside the shoe to release the oils and toss them in overnight.

Do you just tackle the insole or rub the alcohal on the inside of the shoe/toebox aswell? Thanks again!!

What works for me. Put the shoes into pillow case then throw it into the wash. You may have to replace the shoe soles. Amazon shoes soles your size. Not those cheap cut away ones. This works for boost and knitted shoes. Dry in the sun or air.

My shoes were wet because I was in the rain for 80 minutes walking home and to pick up my brother from school so they smelled like shit after all the water kept getting in lol

How often do you do this? Every night to prevent smell or just whenever it starts to smell?
@Organizing-TV
@Organizing-TV 2 года назад
I just do it when it starts smelling again. It usually keeps the smell away for quite a long time if you just use the shoes casually

I never wear socks with my shoes. Minus hiking boots. I hate socks. My feet can stink bad enough to clear out a room lol. I have five pairs of vans slip ons and I often rotate them between wearing. Exfoliating and lotion is very helpful. Dr. Organic Tea Tree lotion is my favorite!

A good alternative to alcohol is hypochlorous acid spray. Alcohol can weaken some glues or cause some dyes to run.
