I found from a youtube channel a good way to clean le creuset is with OxyClean. There is no bleach in it. It uses enzymes. I like oxyclean and use it on my whites in the laundry. I always have it around, so I tried it in my big dutch oven, which had asmall amount of staining. I tried the baking soda and hot water first and it helped a little, but the oxyclean was much better. One cup of oxyclean in the pot and add very hot or boiling water to it. Let it sit overnight. Next day, my pot looked beautiful.
I watched a woman from Europe last night who had a pot like that that was discolored on the inside and what she said, was to boil water in it, and then add some citric acid which is natural. Let it boil for about five minutes then tip it out then immediately wipe away all the discoloration and it worked perfectly!
i used vinegar & water with a good boil, i also did it again with baking soda, vinegar & water...neither did anything! i brought my comet out and used some good old elbow grease...and viola...clean as the day i bought it 25 years ago.
