Great video. It was helpful. Once I have the radio out and faceplate off, how do I remove the volume/power button? I need to solder a new aux jack and need to remove the board from the faceplate. Thanks.
My sincerest thanx for your very timely Gen 2 Aveo radio removal video. My 2011 radio/cd/aux just died and I will be removing it. Problem is, I can't find a replacement radio from any salvage yard in Kansas City, MO. When an Aveo comes in, after a short time it is sent to the crusher/shredder b/c parts don't sell quickly and space in the yard is at a premium for cars with parts that are in demand. I'm looking for a good one, cheap. Found one from an '09 LT but no sure it will interchange for my 2011 LT. Any thoughts?
get someone to 3d print an adapter and buy an aftermarker but im looking at this to remove on a 2009 chevy aveo so if it comes out the same it should go in the same
Do you have a tutorial on how to remove the center console of a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo? I cannot find one anywhere! I’ve unscrewed everything and unplugged the cigarette cable but it still won’t pop out
hey could yo do a video that how to use de aux in? i’m just trying a lot and i can’t get it 😫 i just wanna listen my music 🥲 my car is aveo2009 with the same stereo on this video
You can, you just have to get a harness for it that fills up the extra space and holds the radio in place. they usually give you a little storage slot, too, so you can stick your cd's or phone there. :D
this was why I had to replace it with an aftermarket radio. the thing stopped turning on or changing volume, and it was cheaper then getting a replacement factory radio by far.
honestly, you'll be able to find cheaper and nicer radios aftermarket that come with aux. I looked up this vid cause I'm selling my old aveo that we had installed a brand new aftermarket radio on shortly before it died, and I want to keep it. It's ten times nicer then the one that came with the car and had more features then the factory one, and only cost around $100, where replacement factory radios cost a disgusting $600! 😬
