I just sold my T7 and looking to aquire myself a GSA1250. Been binge watching your videos for the past few days. Great stuff. Changing the rear tyre looks like a dream job. I usually change my own tyres, on the rim too, and fiddling with the rear brake caliper is always a bit of a headache when it comes to fitting everything back together again. Nice to see you basically just pop it back on and do the screws again.

@@useless274 Thats confidence inspiring. I did get a 1250 GS Adventure 2022, but the tires are brand spanking new so I'm just going to have to wait. :D

Great little tutorial. Thanks! I did get about 15,000 miles out of my Road 5’s but never really liked them. I got the left pulling issue as well and also had a weird harmonic resonance in 4th gear at lower revs. I’ve since gone with Anakee adventures and both issues are completely gone. Strange how tires can influence the riding experience so much.

Good vid, interested to know how you got the paddock stand to work with the gs would be a good advantage for my tight garage. Ps cracking dog 🐶 and don’t listen to people saying loads of meat left on the rear, I’ve done 100’s thousand of miles on all gs’s and squared off tyres are their nemesis, no idea why but handling goes to pot, unlike other bikes 😮

Is there no spacer for the right (non-abs-sensor) side? I just did my first swap and forgot to check for spacers. When I went to put them back in I had only one spacer. All my other bikes have had spacers on both sides. When the wheels off, I just put the calipers back on the forks with a couple turns on their bolts (obviously pop em back out when putting the wheel back on). No need for zip ties, I can't lose my bolts or forget how the abs bracket goes back on. For the 'brake squeeze' avoidance I put a hippo hand over the left handgrip until you're done. I have other friends who slide a shim into the caliper to keep spaced too.

@@gsd32i You have a good channel I can see your really into it and you understand my teasing of you is in good spirit. My lovely wife I lost suddenly to breast cancer suddenly I missed watching our American fiddler just mess with shit for the sake he could not stop fiddling with shit. We would sit on the porch grab a beer and just wonder why can't people just leave shit alone eventually he would screw something big up. We would think well maybe he finally learned his lesson nope. He would buy a new truck and start the process all over again. Some people can't help them themselves from being fiddlers . I was once a fiddler when I was young and screwed up enough motorcycles cars etc. to learn my lesson. The first step of knowing there is a problem is admitting it. :)

Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. I will attempt to do more videos for you to comment on then and the RU-vid stuff can be easy to fire off negative comments to viewers comments , however as I always say to myself , there may be a back story etc. I enjoy a bit of banter and if you are ever in Jersey then I'll gladly show you around and have a drink with you.
