Cheers man. Everyone without a moisture issue should try step 3 first, then the others. Worked for me, like alot of people in the comments. I didn't have any moisture in my phone and was a random popup.
Thank you for your suggestion... The third solution has done wonder for me... Just after waking up this morning I put my Galaxy S23 (which I bought just last month) on charge and suddenly the moisture warning popped out without any reason. I thought I was doomed until I came across your video. Thanks a ton. I put my device on charge with a normal Samsung charger lying around and the phone started charging again. It was initially at 34% and after charging it till about 60%, I switched off the charging and booted my phone on and plugged in with the fast charger and its charging now.
Thanks! After watching the video I cleaned the charging port with a dental pic and scooped out a bunch of lint. Charges now for first time in years. Thanks!
YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for the tip. My phone had been doing that for 3 months, and I could not connect to anything via USB. Even the wireless charge was not working. You gave me my phone back; you're a genius. Again, thank you very much.
If you get this error and are certain liquid hasn't been near the port, plug it in to a non-fast charger while off, charge to 10-15% and turn it back on. Error disappeared for me.
Thank you a lot, you saved my day. By the way I used my pc usb port to charge up my phone and after a few percents I changed back to my usual fast charge and it worked. Samsung note 10+
So I have had to use your trick on my phone a couple of times now and it has typically worked beautifully. Unfortunately I was riding in the car with my mom the other day and she plugged my phone in to her car charger for whatever reason, and it initiated the error again. Unfortunately now when I try the trick in step 3 it is no longer clearing the error code. Any thoughts?
Worked for me thank god, was literally losing my mind. I feel like Samsung "sneakingly" do this to force people to buy more chargers or a wireless one when their phone should be working just fine, kinda crazy.
@@richardstaples75 it is my choice if I wish to damage my phone. At least give me the option to turn the damn thing off. Tired of being denied a charge at 5 or 10 percent randomly.
This was amazing. I have tried imaginable suggestion I could find online, and nothing worked until I found your video. What a simple solution!!! You are the only one who understood that the problem might be with the fast charger. I did exactly what you said: I unplugged from the fast charger and used a direct ubs plug on my power strip, and lo and behold, it began charging again (after more than one year!), and it keeps charging now even with the fast charger. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! My S21 was splashed with the ocean water and I couldn't get rid of this annoying moisture warning for 1.5 weeks! Phone repair wanted $160 CAD to replace the port... I just watched your video and, though not right away, I got it to work! I used the old charger first, then plugged it into my old laptop but it didn't work. Lastly, plugging it into my Dell docking station was a success! Fingers crossed everything will be working fine now!
You literally saved my life with your tutorial. It worked like a charm I was a little scared using the hair dryer but I put it on warm and on low not to close to the phone. For a 1-3 seconds and use the original charger. And the error message was gone and it started charging like normal. Thank god I found your video.
If anyone else is having trouble with step 3 - try plugging your phone in, once the alert comes up (and won't go away after a few seconds), then unplug your phone a little bit (so the phone is no longer charging but the plug is still in the charging port), then plug it back in - thats what worked for me!! I also used a fast charger tho (its all I had on me), I just disabled fast charging in my settings 😊 thanks for the video!!
Disabling fast-charge, turn off phone, connect charger(nothing happend), turn phone on with charger. notification was gone, turn fast charge back on worked for me. thank you
Thanks!!!!! Step 3 did it for me. I've tried so many of the recommendations and nothing was working (5 days in). This fixed it for me. This video is still very helpful 2yrs later. Great Job!
This guy is a genius! Incredible video. Super easy to follow. I did exactly as the video said and followed all 3 steps to the T. Worked like a charm! As soon as I plugged my phone in the water alert popped up then disappeared and went straight to charging! Thank you so much! I subscribed and I know for sure I'll be back whenever I need more tech help! Keep up the great work!
This happened to my brother's 10 today. First tried the rubbing alcohol trick, his port was gross. still showed moisture detected, so I tried the hair dryer trick, that fixed it
What worked for me was to put it in safe mode then plug into a slow charger & wait a few seconds. I unplugged it thinking it wasn't going to work & the water symbol went away, when I tried again it worked.
@@Hindsight101 i was thinking cause he will work :( after a while he started again...and he didnt get contact with water or something...i try now factory restet and maybe will be fixed(remeber to backuo youre stuff first) i will come back to let you know if this option was ok.
Thank you for the tutorial! It actually worked for me. I have spent one week with the notification; I tried everything on the internet but it didn't help. Only plugging it to slow charger worked.
Thank You for this! Step 2 worked for me, I was lowkey freaking out as I have very important photos on my phone that I know if my phone was toast I wouldn't get them back so thank you again!
Followed these instructions and it worked beautifully. I spent a lot of time reading forums on how to solve the issue, but to no avail. This video is much appreciated 👍
This video was spot on. Took just a few minutes total to get it working again. I thought I was going to have to wirelessly charge until I waited for the new phone I wanted to come out. Thank you
Thank you! Thank you! I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, I followed your steps but instead used a toothpick with isopropyl alcohol wipe to get it to the bottom of the port. I cleaned out some black dirt and then followed steps 2 & 3 using a generic non fast charger. No warning at all and the phone is charging. The crazy thing is we are getting ready to trade it in for credit on a new phone.
Thanks so much for providing all the different options. I was skeptical about cleaning the port. But I did. I couldn't believe how dirty the port was. And that solved my issue. I don't have to listen to that annoying alert anymore. Thank you sharing!
You just saved me, my phone was on 0% and showed the warning even though it was just laying on my desk all night. Thanks to you I don´t have to go to work with my phone at 0%
@Hindsight 101, I was having the same issue but it actually wasn't moisture related. I had small impediments in the port so I used a soft bristle toothbrush to gently remove the debris. Thanks for the tips the phone started charging minutes later!
Just came back from following the steps to get my phone charging normally again. I just wanted to make sure you got my thanks!! 4 days with that moisture error and I was ready to disassemble my whole phone. Really appreciate this video
I found a similar but more simple way, especially for guys like me that don't have hair dryers. All you need is: - something tiny and pointy (toothpick or dental floss pick) - something sanitizing (rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer) - one little square of toilet paper, or maybe even a very thin microfiber cloth if one can actually fit in there (not sure) 1. take the toilet paper and put a tiny amount of alcohol/sanitizer on it so it feels very slightly damp 2. wrap that toilet paper around the end of the pick you are using 3. gently poke the pick into the port and rub both sides of the USB conductor to wipe dirt off 4. repeat step 3 except with a piece or dry toilet paper to remove any leftover cleaner or any actual real moisture that was in there before. This took all of 60 seconds and worked perfectly the first attempt. For me, the port was just dirty. Oh, and yes, turn your phone OFF when you are doing this. EDIT: Don't use a Q-tip! That cotton can get stuck on the USB conductor and you don't want to be leaving pieces of debris like that in there. Worse still, the plastic part behind the swap can scratch the interior, which is exactly the opposite of what you want to be doing. If anything is unavailable, use your best judgment - the idea is you use a sanitizing cleaner which dries very quickly, put it on some material that can clean without leaving residue of its own, and you are poking into the port with anything very thin and pointy. EZ
So a couple of things 1. I have seen a lot of comments about men net having a hair dryer. I live with 3 women so I used what was available. But you could also use a heat gun or if your phone is that important find a woman and borrow theirs. 2. I can slightly agree about the Qtip comment. I would still use a Qtip but the quality of the Qtip does matter. I hate the plastic ones and the cheaper they are the less cotton they use so that could be an issue. But the more quality ones you should have no problem. 3. I have to disagree with using a toothpick or floss pick because those could do harm as well if your not careful Just my thoughts but thanks for the comment
I went through 50 videos did everything I can think of put my phone on slow charging in my settings in the settings on the phone nothing but now I did exactly what he told me to do just take a non fast charger charging it 4% so the bottom line don't let your battery get under 20% and you'll probably be okay and you won't see that stupid message that's extremely misleading saying that your phone has moisture in the USB c charging port when it doesn't that's what happened to me
Hi. I want to say a big Thank you to you for posting this short but excellent useful video for moisture detecting warning. As you mentioned my Samsung note 10 phone kept showing that annoying charging error and didn't allow me to charge my phone. As you mentioned I tried each and every thing everyone mentioned in the you tube. I spent almost 6 hours trying to fix the problem. My husband also has a note 10 , so I could do some wireless charging to keep my phone alive. I got so tired that finally I was thinking of doing a factory reset which I didn't want to do since I have lot of useful data on my phone. Thought of trying one more video and got your video. I had already done the previous two things you had shown so tried the 3rd step you showed and you know what it worked! The moisture detection warning has gone and I am able to charge my phone now. Thank you once again!
Hi, I was having the same problem and what worked for me was using a thin makeup brush to take out any dust that may be inside the charging port and then keeping it underneath a normal bedside lamp for 20 minutes with the bulb 5 cm away from the screen Phone : Galaxy Note 9
I can not thank you enough. 2 weeks trying to figure this out and then I came across your video. Step #3 is what did it for me. Unfortunately I did the hard reset already. But the slow charger did the trick. Thank you thank you 👊
These steps worked for me! Thank you VERY much! My phone landed in salt water (ocean) for about 60 seconds. It took closer to 6 minutes to dry out in front of a small ceramic heater. It is now charging properly :)
wawwww wawww it works. thanks bro you are life saver. am about to throw it away but when I start to watch your video and trying to do step by step it works immediately. thanx a lot again bro.
I wish I could LIKE this video twice. My phone fell into a bucket of water and I got the dreaded moisture error. For the second in the life of this phone, this video helped me recover from the error. A big thank you again
I am still getting the moisture thing on my phone I don't know what happened or why it's doing it I've done everything I've tried everything and nothing is ed to fix it what do I do now I have to be able to charge my phone should I get a cordless charger would that work
My phone does charge with no problems, BUT. When I try to disconnect the cable from the charging places on the wall and put it back in with my charger in my charging port it's gonna give me the warning. Any tips?!?
@@Hindsight101 what do I use to clean it sir I've tried the following: Blow on the charging port Put a small tissue on the charging port while the phone is vertical for 10 hours (over night bassicly) Used cotton too Tried to shake it so water comes out (or dust) Right now I'm thinking it's dust and not water in it
I didnt try this because my warning went away while I was watching your video(totaling 40 minutes of warning) however I have a lot of experience with electronics and I like your solution. The only thing id like to add is that if someone uses a hairdryer, its best to use a cool setting if your hairdryer has this setting(most do these days).
amazing thank u!!!!!!!!!!! i wasted money on a useless wireless charger that charges super super slow i never even get half the charge and I cant leave my house like that! thank u!!!!
@@Hindsight101 I used the second method which is drying my phone ,and it worked ,I tried it before trying the third method 😇thank you ,you saved my LIFE .
However.if you dont have those things...do this...put your phone in a low wart charger.eg your bluetooth speaker or laptop while your phone is switched off.it will start charging.then, switch to your fast charger.
I just accidentally dip in my phone in the water..then the warning started to appear..i try my best to dry the water from each hole from the phone(sorry for the broken eng.)it is work bcoz the warning gone, but ma phone start lagging and move like a ghost playing with it and also cant sense my finger.so i just keep restarting it..and it still the same
Still experiencing the same problem...after applying the rubbing alcohol with the qtip and cool dryer, also left for 30 mins before trying to charge again.... please help
This only happens to me when I let my battery bottom out.. usually by falling asleep with Netflix still on. It's 100 times harder when you got no charge and the Mositure warning keeps coming on for my A73. In that case follow steps 1 to 2. Step 3 begins the same but instead, turn phone on immediately after moisture warning shows and disconnect charger. As soon as you see starting screen DO NOT open phone but immediately reconnect charger. Let it sit and charge. This is what I figured out after a series of trial and error today. And it's been so frustrating lol. Anyways I finally managed to get my phone working JUST NOW and it's on 4% and counting
I had this problem and I fixed it by before I saw this video. I got frustrated and did the same thing as step 3 and it started working again. It's only been a week since I got this phone and it my head just started spin after I couldn't get the moisture warning to go away this morning, stupid thing went off in my pocket. I tried a bunch of things that didn't work; Force stop android system Clear USB settings Boot in safe mode Wipe cache Wipe data & factory reset Sprayed out the port with canned air Nothing worked, until I just turned off fast charging and plug in the phone and keep pressing okay on the moisture warning. First it started regular charging then it went back to super fast charging
Very helpful my friend ! To fix the problem completely do the step3 (meaning slow charger 1st). Then go to charging settings of your phone and deactivate the fast charging mode and then plug the fast charger. Then just activate again fast charging and probably will work. My phone is ok now.😅😅
So i have this galaxy s21....... and the sim-card is located on the bottom of the phone, so I tried to take it out but instead I poked the microphone hole by accident 😳 and apparently moisture goes into the phone, and I didn't understand for a long time until I shoved a small peace of paper and that did it. Ur welcome!
