Hi Felicia, it really could be anything so the best thing is have the airbag system diagnosed using a scanner /scan tool to read the airbag codes.

Did you get the airbag control module (computer) reset? Airbag control module needs to be reset after an accident. MyAirbags.com can reset your airbag control module instead of having it replaced.

Gus, most vehicles don't have deployable pretensioners in the rear seat belts so the process to remove is a little easier.

i have a 2000 nissan frontier. one of the seat belts was tearing, and i went to a junk yard and installed the used seat belt with air bag, and after that, the air bag light starting flashing and will not turn off. could it be a bad air bag sensor on the seat belt?? truck has never been in an accident, and seat belt isn't locked.

Raul, it's likely the replacement seat belt or it could be a connection issue at the plug. You can also hook up a scan tool / scanner to the car and read the airbag codes. You connect the scan tool right into the OBD port/plug. Its usually located below the steering wheel, on the left.

Yes it can be bypassed with a 2 OHM resistor. But we dont recommend it, because it is a safety device. Some customers install racing seats and need to bypass it.

@@MyAirbags do you have a video or know how to do it? My niece the seat belts keep pulling back with little braking. No other cars we own have this feature and I don't see the point in it if the seat belt locks like the others do.

@@Yur1994 That one should be a dual stage. It depends on the how many yellow/orange plugs it has. Theres between 1-3. Single, Dual, Triple Stage. Can’t you just unlock the seat bels if they locked??? I done it before on several cars

Yes, you can simply unlock them, but that doesn't make them ready to deploy and lock up again in the future. Also the light will remain on letting you know that seat belt has been deployed and isn't working properly.
