Hi. Thanks for video. But you should never scrape off gel polish... You are damaging your nails... Give it more 10-15 min wrapped with acetone or nail polish remover, and all of it will come off by itself...

I made the mistake of picking off my shellac on my thumb. So I bought acetone. And now I’m watching this video.

Thanks for this excellent teaching video! You started out by saying we could use EITHER the 100% pure acetone OR the CND shellac remover. So, would we use the acetone exactly the same way? You never covered what to do with the acetone so I'm guessing use this technique with both the CND and the acetone?

you should soak fingers in acetone for 20 minutes. This avoids all the waste of tin foil and you don't have to scrape it off.

Do you mix the CND and actone remover together in the cottonball?

Maybe my chellac was applied incorrectly; but, I did not have to soak my nails in acetone nail polish remover. Maybe, it was because I have natural hair and have to apply moisture and oils to my hair frequently; or, because I was in a steam bath. My chellac lifted after I was in a steam room and was massaging my legs and arms (spreading the oils in my skin?) that caused my chellac to lift. I just had to pull on the lifted edge and easily peel it off. I prefer this over soaking in acetone. I sprayed my nails with a mixture of aloe vera juice and olive oil afterwards. I mean, the technician roughens your nails before applying the chellac so peeling it off with oil does not seem to be a bad thing to me.

please never use cuticle pusher to scrape off the shellac you will cause damage to the nail.

Oh wow I was not doing them right at all I would just rip them off and then tried to Buffet out yeah

Sorry to say this, but I've ruined my nails. They look so bad after I've followed the instructions in the video. Should have just paid at the salon. This is the same technique the salons use, but it does take skill and training to do a quality job.
