In this video I show you and test how to remove speed cut in my Toyota soarer, this should also work with your 1jz swapped or other 1jz cars such as the chaser, mark 2, Supra.... any questions check me out on Instagram JZchris92
Thank you so much man, I was searching through the forums and couldn't believe you actually need to have a $100+ box just to remove the speedlimiter. Great video 👍
@@ChrisBuilt92 what about an American 97 civic lx automatic. I swapped the automatict for manual kept auto computer. I need to do 130mph flybys after loosing😃
i need my tuner to remove mine i know itll go past 115 im only at like 4k! Love the 1j man! hope to see it out one day at a meet or if you mobbing it in town! youll notice my shitbox!
So if I do this on my supra mk4 2jz 900hp 4.5 inch fatback exhaust twin turbo it will work because I’m scared to scratch my $1 00’000 Rolex cause then I will have to get another one from my million dollar mansion
Yes. I had a 2000 i30 sport edition. When i was 16. And fully tested going over 160 mph. Re bought it a t version. And its not the same. 100-120 mph my speed is been control. I will try this. Thank you !!!!
Can’t say it will work exactly the same but who knows, I know this trick works on many jdm vehicles so maybe the Infiniti will work the same. Good luck!
@@ChrisBuilt92 thank you. What exactly did you buy? A dead switch to invert the power to nothing. ? 😂🤣i swear my car yeterday couldn't push over 100 mph without trying hard. And today car feels new. Like wtf. 120 and easily could gone higher.
@@lendaryreviews just a simple two prom switch that will either complete the circuit or cut it off. I ended up not running a switch at all, the car was pretty much un affected
I have a 2003 Toyota Matrix with the supercharged engine. Wondering if you thing it would work with that vehicle? Thoughts? I looked at the wiring diagram and the harness. Seems like the is a pink SP2 wire. It's limited to 118mph and the car has a lot of modifications that could easily handle going way faster than that.🤙
@@slowyota_rolla Please let me know if it works. I would love to do this too. With all the power I have on tap, it sucks to feel like you're hitting a wall during acceleration.
@@slowyota_rolla Oh cool! Which wire did you cut in the harness? The VSS feed to the ECU, correct? Then just like ChrisBuilt92 did in the video? I actually haven't had the time to do much with the car. I just started a new job, but this will be something easy to do that won't take much time. What speed were you able to get up to?
Getting a jzs171 (toyota crown) pretty soon, I'm assuming the process is quite similar with the pink wire and everything, it has a 1jz vvti in it. Appreciate any input.
It's the not giving a fuck for me lol found out the hard way this morning on my TT Aristo it felt like the engine fell out I'm like wtf lmao just the speed cut 😅
Olá , sou do Brasil e achei muito interessante, como não sei inglês e não sou muito apto a mecher nessa parte, tenho curiosidade em fazer no meu civic 99 ! Daria certo? como faço? um abraço ! :)
I wanna remove the speed limiter on a jzx100 mark 2.. 2jz it has same electric speedometer like yours I'm not sure what's the top speed because it doesn't use and manual speedometer
The switch is optional, you can use the switch and turn off the speed limiter when you want, or you can cut the wire and have the speed limiter off all the time, only thing is once you get close to the speed limiter the check engine light turns on
@@greyjoy_bd4jf the light turns on because the computer is seeing that it doesn’t have the ability to limit your speed. Car runs and drives just fine with it on when you get the speed limit code
Can you do this for a Honda accord hybrid 2023 (unfortunately the accords after 2023 are hybrids)… my first car was a 2001 Honda accord coupe sport model, and it topped out at 136…. The 2023 is the “sport” with a 2.0L engine, but won’t go past 112ish as well like your vehicle, even though I know it is capable of going faster. So disappointing. Help! I don’t know much about working on cars, but this seemed like an easy fix to stop the rev limiter?
Hi @ChrisBuilt92 nice video! I own a 2jzgte toyota aristo jzs161 with a greddy piggyback. I was looking at the ECU diagram to find information about speed limiter and there I found the sp2 pin. I started searching about it but I didn't find much until your video, so I'd like to know some details, mainly about gearbox downshift and other possible problems (if you can) related to this mod. When you cut the wire, then you run in M, D or it doesn't change? If you stay in D, and break over 180km/h does the gearbox automatically downshift to another gear or does it keep the current one? I got a 4 speed auto gearbox and i don't want to shred it ahaha. Thank you!!!!!
@@ChrisBuilt92 Okay thanks!!! :) I'll try asap and I hope it will work on my ecu too (although it's based on multiplex network principle). So you were saying that I should cut the sp2+ line, right?
Hey mate just bought Nissan 370 gt skyline 2007 and as Known it's also limited to 180 km/h. The car computer is a bit advanced an complicated. Will this method also work with it?
hey man do yu think this would work for a 98 rav4 that is limited to 105 mph it also doesnt go past 5500 rpms and it’s basically all japanese except just us spec im going to see if the sp2 wire is pink like you said or wait for a response thanks man
so you think itll be the same with my 92 celsior its a 1uz also with the switch is it 1 hot wire and one sprliced in or do i cut the pink wire and go to the ecu directly
Yes should be the same concept on the celsior, not sure if the wire will be pink on yours. But the pin is sp2 on the ecu. You can run switch and have the speed limiter be on or off or have it cut and it will always be off
Might be a dumb question but what can I do to get to higher speeds in my 2021 highlander. I know my little v6 can go faster than 113mph I’ve seen basic model ford explores and the new Kia telluride go above 130 in there v6 models. I’ve been truly searching online to I have to reprogram it or do I have to just yank some wires out, thanks. Kinda makes me disappointed since my 2018 rav4 with a 4 cylinder could go faster than my “sport” edition highlander.
Unfortunately something like that, being new and also being a Highlander there really isn’t going to be any aftermarket support or tricks to go faster. Once you start tampering with a car like that you cause more problems then good
Hey man 🙌 for u ur seriously 😐 iam from Pakistan and my Prius 2015 jdm is limited at 180 km can i do this cut method on my Prius or please tell me the other way to unlock the limiter
You need to verify the sp2 pin on the ecu, it might a pink wire just like the soarer. Only downside is check engine light turns on when you come near the 180kmph mark. But when you turn off car it goes away until you go up in speed again
I'll answer myself, I put it on a switch so it can either activate the speed limiter and have no check engine light or turn it off and bypass the speed limiter. Then I decided to cut it so it's always off and the check engine light just goes away next time I start the car
