I would have liked to seen the underneath of that patch after he scraped it to see if it had the stain on it, it supposedly removed.

You say if the countertop is not properly sealed it will stain. But if I'm already using Stone Care International Professional Series Granite and Stone Sealer why would there be a problem? The counter is only 3 months old. I should have gone with Formica.
@StoneCareInternational
@StoneCareInternational 5 лет назад
Thanks for reaching out. You will want to seal your counter tops once a year to protect the surface from staining.
@DThompson55

@@StoneCareInternational Thanks. Something's wrong then. The sealer failed after 3 months in an 18 inch diameter area over the dishwasher leaving a huge dark stain.

@@StoneCareInternational For example, I baked bread the other day, and left it on a wire cooling rack, and put that on the counter. half an hour later there was a huge dark mark where the bread had been suspended. Today I cleaned some pots and pans, and left them to dry on a towel on the counter. Again, big dark marks. The counter top is just unusable as it is. Shouldn't the sealer prevent this?

I am not one to post bad or good, but this stuff should never be used. I had used some random home recipe that worked on the parts I applied it to. It worked ! Then memory left me. We went across state line to buy this stuff from Home Depot and almost cried when I saw that the stain was darker ! Now, trying just baking soda and water ! We will see tomorrow if the penny stuff works !
@StoneCareInternational
@StoneCareInternational 5 лет назад
Hi Shelia, thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with our product. Since the poultice is mixed with water and the stone is porous, sometimes the stone will absorb the water that is in the poultice and temporarily darken the surface once the poultice has been removed. I would let your stone dry out a few days for the water to evaporate then you will see the stone lighten back up and be uniform with the rest of the counter-top. I hope this will help and you will give the product another chance!

Yes, our StoneCare Stain remover is safe to use on quartzite but it would depend upon what you are trying to remove. What are you trying to remove? You can always reach out to the manufacturer of your stone as to their cleaning and care recommendations as well.

I have a better alternative. Instead of buying this product and mixing with water until the consistency of creamy peanut butter, take your money and go to the grocery store and buy an actual jar of peanut butter. Then get some jelly. Grape is probably the most popular flavor, but strawberry is what I prefer. Then get some bread. Go home and make yourself a nice sandwich. By doing this you will improve the appearance of your granite countertop by the exact amount as by doing what is demonstrated in this video and the experience will be much more satisfying. (No, I'm not just being a jerk. I actually bought a jar and used the entire thing several times on one stain. Not even a hint of improvement. Nothing. And the person who wrote that her stain looks worse than before might be correct about mine too.)
