Would you recommend doing this when you get the bike to avoid future problems? Is there an easier way to lube the crank? Also, what lube did you use? Cheers
I wouldn't recommend it unless your confident you can do it unless you have someone you really trust. Some shops may causeore damage than help . I used ball bearing grease
I had this problem on my rx. I couldn’t get it open. I got some all purpose bike lube and sprayed it in the hole underneath (where the plug is) and it got rid of the squeaking. Might be worth a try before opening it up if you don’t want to.
That's the worst thing you could do honestly as it's not viscous enough it's just like putting water in there and worst as it won't dry and may cause future problems with the electricals in the sensor but if it fixed the problem and doesn't cause anymore that's great
At what time stamp do you see that so I can check. It was so long ago I can't remember which direction but all models should be the same I imagine. Issue is s73 don't use much grease so it's easy for it to get stuck and more so over time
I mean what's the time on the video you are referring to that I mention the clockwise rotation? And what model bike are you trying to take off the crank on
I am trying to change the crank on my bike and luckily I saw this video, but how in the fuck did you remove the bottom bracket that holds the chainring? lol I am using a socket wrench with the same tool as you and I am putting all my force and weight (300 lbs) as leverage and it just keeps jumping off, because it barely holds on to anything.
Glad it's helped so far . Yess that but can be a pain . Yoi cab fix your tool to the crank with a bolt the same size as the crank bold but longer and some washers . Fix the tool so it doesn't slip off
