How did you re install the glove box? I can’t manage to get the 2 bolts in the holes to screw them to the back plate. Is there a trick? Do I have to get the plastic frame in front. I’m scared to break the hinges. When I put the bolts through the holes the extension is crooked I can’t get them aligned to tighten them.. Any suggestions! Thanks
I used my fingers to get the bolt started, fitting my fingers through the sides of the glove box. Looking through the 2 holes to see the bolt. Then using an extension and a swivel (joint) socket extension I was able to get the socket on there and tighten them down. A local parts store might have a joint socket.
@@ArcticVette Thank you for the feed back! I really appreciate it. I ordered a used glove box today from EBay $175… I will definitely use the swivel socket! Thanks!
Photo memory, if I take it apart and separate em by size I typically remember where they go. Something I've done in the past is to stab them into cardboard and write the location next to the bolt/screw. That works really well. Hope one of these helps!
Ugh. I may have to take mine out again. Couldn't remember how till I watched your video. I replaced my radio cage since I hacked mine up. Went to install my bezel and the darn cage is crooked.
No, I haven't gotten another deal on a HUD yet. The one I had fell though. It's really not to bad of a process. Check the Corvette forums for a good write up about it.
Man jobs like that actually scare me lol im too big for tight spaces and just trying to remember where it all goes back... ill stick with the engine bay and exteriors lol
Man this is all looks so familiar 😅 had to tear mine apart to replace the hazard light switch and that outlet under the radio was also unplugged in mine if I remember correctly
