In this video we show how to remove the interior rear tailgate boot panel on our Land Rover Discovery Sport L550. This is ideal if you need to replace the rear wiper motor / rear door lock etc
@powerfulukltd Hi Simon, any chance you could do an installation and review of the wireless charging pad you sell for the Discovery Sport? I'm interested in the one you have for the earlier cars, like the demo car, priced at £125. It's the one that fits under the HVAC controls. I've seen others online that say "no modifications needed, plug and play", but their videos are pretty poor. Cheers!
Methinks bite the bullet, find a panel beater, he will take a whole lot less time than you filling and spraying a door, the result dare I say probably better.
Yes i need to wait till our local guy is not busy.... strange fact when we started the business we had a llittle lock up - we now rent that to a friend who used to run a big bodyshop and now just does a few jobs on his own.
Can I request a video? Can you do rear tailgate window washer hose replacement video? Mine is leaking & would be great if there is a tutorial for removing the headliner, interior trim & replacing the hose.
I have a 2018 land rover discovery se with manual lift gate, and was hit in the rear liftgate, it closes but it still shows that is opened on the cluster, what can it be?
Much needed tutorial for me as the tailgate panel was loose in one corner of my Discovery Sport after some 3rd party bodywork repairs - took me two months to notice! Turns out two clips had been broken and need replacing. You have provided all the information required to replace them. Many Thanks 🙏
Great explanation, thank you very much but how about a German translation Thanks for the kind comment! Alas my German is virtually non existant... French i can manage some but not German. Do LR Time offer German translation for their videos ? ( love those guys )
Thanks for this. Reminded me of the time when I had taken delivery of my brand new DS only a few days earlier and had to call out Land Rover Assist when I couldn't get the rear tailgate to soft-close when locking. He decided to remove the tailgate cover just as you showed in this video, but uttered a short prayer beforehand that none of the plastic clips would snap off in the process. Luckily no harm befell them, and his reward was the discovery that the factory had completely failed to install the soft close motor and mechanism located precisely where you indicated in your video. Nothing he could do about it other than write a full report for me to take to Land Rover PDI centre in Slough for them to fit the missing parts. Also said he would be sharing the glad tidings with his mates on the road, as he had never seen such a thing. Why is it always me! 😉
