Glad I found this, just got an 07 Rio for $500 lol, runs and drives but Radio is DOA so it’s coming out lol

Flat head screwdriver worked for me instead of the blue removal tool used in the video, if you want to save a few $$

I thought I could do it faster than in the video, but, no, I think it took me about 10 minutes. On our 2007, all of those connectors are really sticky - from age maybe. I broke a little piece off of one while trying to pry the two pieces apart. My advice on the connectors: wiggle back and forth and be very patient.

This worked for our 2009 Kia Rio. We needed to find the radio serial number. The unlock code is the last four digits, and add 1212 to that number. 1291 became 2503.
