This video shows how to easily remove Volvo V50 front driver seat
You only need to remove 4 Torx T25 screws, unplug cables and then carefully turn the seat and remove it.

thanks. very useful. I have to replace the seat belt bucle and probably will have to desasemble the hole seat first

Good video. Does the battery need to be disconnected when doing this? I was forewarned about airbags going off. Also, do you have a vid on installation of new seated (heated, electric, leather) for V50 ?

Yes it should be disconnected whenever you deal with the airbags. Since i made this in the scrapyard, battery was already removed. No i don't have any video but it should be the opposite process of this.

Help!! I'm clueless! But need to remove and replace my front seat.. Volvo V50. I plan on purchasing an electric screwdriver but what exactly do I need? Specifics for the removal of the Volvo seat??? TIA

Hi, do you know where is the OEM bluetooth module located? Someone told me in the dashboard, but he didn't specify the exact location.

Hi, i dont think there is any Bluetooth in dashboard. It is built in some models and if you want to install one cheaply you should buy the after market one

Hi, Well belt is not built into the seat so you dont have to remove it unless needed

there usually is a red safety lock clip located in the seat plastic trim that can for the seat airbag trigger switch.

Are those seats comfortable compared to the other Volvo seats?

I think these are standard seats for Volvo V50 and C30. I think older v70 models have more comfortable sofa kind of seats

But how did you remove the plastics?

You need to pull the plastic outwards and maybe pry a bit with flat head screw driver

The front covers have a round "pip" on them that locks in a hole in the metal frame. Push the pip in with a screwdriver. The rear covers have 2 plastic spring clips on the bottom edge (nearest the carpet) at the front (i.e. the end facing the front of the car). They are inaccessible! I put a screwdriver in the gap at the back to pry the plastic gently backwards whilst gently wiggling the front end from side to side; the covers slid off with no damage.
