How to remove tar from clothes
Here are all the recommendations that I found on the internet. but used the one in the video.
1. Scrape off the resin with a knife. Do not stretch the fabric to avoid enlarging the stain.
2. Put the item in the freezer for an hour or an hour and a half or rub it with an ice cube, remember the stain, clean the resin residue with a brush.
3. Stretch the garment on a hard surface. Dampen the fabric around the stain and sprinkle with talcum powder to keep the stain from creeping.
4. Select one of the tools below.
Iron or Hair Dryer - Place a clean cloth or paper under the stain and on top, iron or heat with a hair dryer. Change the fabric or paper to absorb the resin. Then lather the stain with laundry soap and wash the item. Do not iron leather products, but heat with a hairdryer.
Acetone, refined gasoline, turpentine - put on gloves, mix the product with grated laundry soap 1: 1, dampen a clean cloth or cotton pad and saturate the stain, collect the resin from the edges to the center. Wash the thing.
Rubbing alcohol - saturate the stain, pick up the resin from the edges to the center. For synthetics, suede, fur.
Starch, turpentine and alcohol - Mix a teaspoon of starch and 4 drops of turpentine and alcohol. Apply to the stain, and after drying, scrub with a brush. If the stain remains, then repeat. For velvet, velor, silk.
Vegetable oil - saturate the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Wipe the stain with a clean cloth and apply dish soap or rubbing alcohol to remove the oil. Wash the thing. For leather, fur and delicate fabrics.
Soda - saturate the stain and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then wash. For light colored items, use colorless soda.
