Thanks for video. My 2020 RAM 2500 Tradesman has an air dam at the top of the bumper that joins the lower radiator shroud. 4 plastic push pins that must be removed.
Great video, I have a 2021 ram 2500 power wagon and I bought the grumper 4400-1 bumper through your website. I’m having trouble removing the bumper with the winch. Do I have to remove the winch also?? Thanks
Nice Job explaining the procedure. I have a question please....With the Tow Hook bolts torqued, is it from OEM to have the Tow Hooks to float a little in the tolerances of the boxed frame mount.....Mine are loose with bolts tight.... tightening more would start to deflect the box metal beam..... It this your understanding. Are your Tow Hooks somewhat loose?
Hey Addy, it depends on the manufacturer of your bumper. The SteelCraft bumper I installed had a little wiggle room with the tow hooks when all was torqued.
If you are adding tow hooks, can you loosen the bottom 18mm, take the top 18mm bolts out and roll it forward enough to get the bottom grill changed out?
I know this is an old comment. But maybe it will help others. Unless you have tiny tiny hands the answer is no. It is next to impossible to remove the lower grille without removing the bumper and then removing the bracketry behind the bumper.
All respect to the techs on the video but it’s a total waste of time and effort. I had at the shop a 21 Ram and I tried to follow all the steps, because it was my first time with this type of trucks ,all I had was a big headache!!! Guys fastest way is removing the 18 mil bolts on the front brackets. And You’ll just spend 10 min maximum .
