Sorry if the question is too rudimentary but in the harvesting comb step, what exactly is done? Are old honey combs without honey ok ? How do you clean the pupa or other waste from the comb or are they ok to boil too?
I'm new to beekeeping myself, but from what I've seen is if their is still Pupa In your frames in what is presumably your honey box/super, preferably wait for the Pupa to mature into Bee's and then harvest. Otherwise technically, whatever you filter through your cheesecloth will be caught by it. So no Pupa should get stuck in your honey or affect it to my knowledge. As for old comb, the old comb is perfectly fine to use with lighter beeswax
Yeah it is! It’s common for people to eat fresh comb full of honey. On its own, honeycomb isn’t super tasty, it’s kinda just lightly honey flavoured bad chewing gum but you can certainly eat it if you wanna!
I used it to thin out my ridiculously thick hair, took a while but it worked a treat!! Although I had to stop before its affects of hair removal fully took place, didn’t want to end up bald 🤣
