Blender is a free and open source 3d modelling (and also video editor) editor. It is a small download (less than 200 MB) and actively developed.

Thank you for testing and sharing the different options. I am glad to see that Kdenlive and Shotcut do so well, here. For my use-case, argb video only exists in a truly lossless workflow. Therefore mov/qtrle is even after decades the sweet spot for quality/speed/interoperability. However, if I can, I use the Ut Video Codec with temporal compression for that (with the original DirectShow implementation).

When i did your settings and hit render animation, this error appeared: "Could not initialize streams, probably unsupported codec combination "

after my .mov render i open it in vlc and there is no transparency just bugged colors on edges going into black where transparency should b . idk if its my vlc corrupted it but when i preview the render in blender it shows transparent, i also put it into my after effects and the same result as me opening it in vlc so it cant just b the vlc player. im in a render cycle of trail and error please send help

No it's normal VLC render transparency as black and slow, if you use after effect it will display the transparency and fast, no problem. You'll have to display the transparency button on after effect.
