How to Render Vertical Videos from Sony Vegas 

Here is a quick tutorial for rendering out vertical or mobile videos :)
Video Steps:
1. Set vertical resolution in the Project Properties (alt+enter)
I set my width to 1080 and height to 1920
Rename and save as a new template
2. Adjust framing as needed through the Event Pan/Crop button
With Lock Aspect Ratio off set the vertical resolution in your frame position.
Turn on Lock Aspect Ratio and scale your frame to be within your video's bounds.
If needed, adjust media rotation (rmb on media || properties || rotation)
3. Set your timeline start and end
4. Set vertical resolution in your render settings
Render As.. || select a template || Customize Template || Frame Size: Custom || set res
I started from the MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 - Internet HD 1080p 29.97fps template, save as a custom template if desired.
Change the frame size to the vertical resolution.
Name your video file and render.
