I used a kiosk for the first time two weeks ago in Michigan. I needed to renew my license plate tab. I was able to pay with cash at the kiosk I used.

Can’t give this enough of a recommendation this gives you a personalized tag to your license plate so it can’t be stolen as easy if used somewhere else. Also this is open on weekends when triple a and the dmv are both closed. For a low service fee of $4-$5 dollars you really can’t beat this

The machine is an option for people doesn't have time or don't want to go into the DMV. If you want to save 1.95% vs. 2 hours in line wasting your life, you can do that.

@@MarcosPerez-mp7dc I just renew mines. So the current registration that we have in the car, we can use that one to scan at the kiosk or you can go in person. I don’t like to go in person because of the long line. They also have kiosk like at foods co and other locations. Dmv have a kiosk also. Way faster than paying in person. Just know be aware that not all kiosk take cash. But most will accept debit card. I’m not sure about credit card. Most likely they should though. Hope this helps. 🙂

I believe you don’t need too, I’ve done it online before, after you pay they will send you the new registration and sticker. Just make sure your smog is done if needed

Every thing is a fee i opted to get a money order and mail to sacramento and they can mail me the tags its the cheapest way other wise everybody wants a fee to take your money and give you tags

Oregon Registration was $54 for TWO YEARS, AND the Reg Fee Does Not Depend on the Value of the Vehicle. There's no reason for renewing EVERY year. Reg. Should be good for 2 Years. It's a huge money grab by CA. Basically, just another onerous tax on the people.

If you want to avoid the 1.95% credit card fee. Renew early by mailing in the check, or pay cash at the DMV.
