How To Repair 2.4Ghz Receiver Antennas

This repair works on all receivers. The length of your cuts may change depending on what frequency the transmitter and receiver operates on. For 2.4Ghz the length is 31.2mm. Using the formula shown in the video if you use a different frequency you should still be able to find what length you need.

Thanks! My antenna has been wrong for years! The nozzle from my Dust-Off is the perfect diameter for protecting the stripped end.(Good thing I save them!) Don't know when I'll be able to test it (weather)

I think it's important to tell your viewers that they don't want to cut all the way through to the center conductor; they only want to cut through the outer insulation and the outer braid shield.

i have a poenix defender handheld monitor that the antenna ripped out of and i can find how or where it would go inside. I see a couple leads labled E1 and tp58, but not sure how to proceed. can anyone help me ?

Does it have to be exactly 31.2mm or can there be a little wiggle room? The original exposed wire is slightly shorter but in the manual thing that can with the receiver it says that it's 2.408 to 2.475 GHz.

No disrespect to JC, but those of you that still learn from his videos, as I do, I came across some more recent info about the length. It seems the math he briefly shows, that many use, to get to 31.25mm doesn't take into consideration that radio waves travel at the speed of light in a vacuum, or void, but not through wire, which has impedance. So this guy claims better signal at closer to 27mm, and many antennas on the market are right at that length. hi..the lenght of antennas should be same on both sides or is it OK to have one antenna longer than the other? what matters is the exposed end of the antenna,right? thanx

Yep just the exposed part matters. Other than that they can be different lengths.

Silo Holy shit. I dont know what to say. I have watched his videos for one and a half years, learned everything i know today from him.
