I’ve got the same crappy toro mower. I had to buy the part you fixed. It’s a great idea. Your photography sucks, bad. I’ve also disconnected every safety switch to prevent me from blowing this piece of S#]£ up.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C4nd_KPzKHc.html The formatting cut off the top of the image. I was looking through the camera when I shot the video and it was cropped out when it downloaded. I think I just need to shoot it again. This video has a better picture of the hole in the bolt. Also I have bypassed the safety switches on mine too. Nothing is more frustrating than stopping the mower to move something then getting back on and it won’t start again until you figure out what safety switch didn’t work properly. I have 2 motors for this mower or I would have pushed it off a cliff already.
Ya got that right! I would have blown mine up except I don’t have any explosives and there are no cliffs nearby! Mine is a piece of crap. I can’t afford a new one that is a quality mower. Anyway, thanks for the video, it’s a great idea!
@@grdelawter4266 - I have some explosives if you want to get together and blow them up for a video but I am going to have to ask you to film because I suck at it but I am good at blowing things up.
The original version was good but the format cropped it out. I posted it anyway because it still gives you enough information to make the same thing. Unfortunately I don’t have a way to hold my camera and also work with both hands. I have asked people for help to film what I am working on and they look at me like I’m trying to get them to swim naked in a public pool so I am trying to figure out how to make videos without having to stop everything I am doing and set up. I have also put my camera on in my shirt pocket so that I can film with both hands but if I am sweating it activates the touch screen every time I move. But you are correct. I need to reshoot this but I was trying to finish mowing before the rain started.
Attachment of a cable to a bolt clarified. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C4nd_KPzKHc.html Let me know if this helps you out and if not I’ll take the mower back apart and redo the first video.
It's okay bud I understand 👍 at least you're trying. Like they were saying maybe a tripod or something might help. Keep making videos I'll keep watching 👍
Attachment of a cable to a bolt clarified. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C4nd_KPzKHc.html Clarification of this video. Sorry for the formatting error cutting off the important details.
Did this yesterday. Used a 10 mm small head from honda. Dremeled a slot in the head and added a 10mm nut then slid it in the spring, drilled it out and used the longer bolt along with a jam nut on assembly.I inserted the screwdriver into the spring and used the nut to bring the bolt to lenght for any adjustments. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the idea ❤
It’s the 3rd one to break. 8x3=$24 + 3 day wait for the part. That’s 1 hour total time fixing the same issue @ $65 an hour for $89 dollars total investment. My fix took 15 minutes, didn’t cost anything, and never broke again. Every one has to pay one way or another and factor in how much down time they can afford.
I thought about it but I would have to open the hole up a little more to get the cable in. The nut worked so I went with it to make sure it held and it’s stronger than the factory made one.
