I like your videos but I think you should have just connected your wires to the pump instead of splicing into the old cord. Considering you're going to be dealing with wet situations I wouldn't have taken a chance with butt connectors and shrink tubing. In a situation where you were dealing with a pump that had spent some time in water to where the screws were rusted and couldn't be removed I can see where this may help in a pinch. Just one guys opinion, thanks for the videos.

Did I just see a Ghost?!?!? Chis, where have you been? I haven’t seen any videos for like 2 months! I thought you had been abducted by aliens or something.... Anyway I got learnded once again by Professor Chris. Two heat shrinks is gonna be water tight to +/- 1000 ft below sea level, yup a nice repair indeed. Keep the video’s coming!

You forgot to put the big heat shrink on and had to redo it didn’t you? Been there done that. Regular black tape will come loose if it’s soaked on water.

Yes... Good catch. Haha. We actually ended up taking the wires out of the motor housing to slip it over!

Cut your leads longer and stagger those butt connectors so you can use the smaller heat shrink...

Great video, thanks! I replaced the capacitor in my Zoeller M137-D and it worked fine for two weeks, but now keeps throwing the GFCI. No apparent wire, impeller, or other problems I can find. Do you know if there is a website that has REAL photos on it of the wiring between the switch, capacitor, and poles? Zoeller's diagrams are nice, but I would like to see actual photos of the wiring. Thanks!

My sump pump cord came out of the top of the the wires were still cut up I mean connected but I pushed it back in but it's still blowing the fuse box soon as I plug it in

My sump pump the top power cord where it goes in on the top of that came out when I was changing it and now it it's blowing my fuse box is there is there a fix for that where does it connect inside the top of it

As soon as I plug in the sewage pump it blows the breaker on the breaker box what could that be the top of that when I was taking that out came out a little bit but I don't know if it I try to push it in but it keeps going a fuse

When I was taking out the sewage pump to clean that the power cord came out of the top of the sewage pump and it was just nothing better that I can see but it keeps blowing the fuse box as soon as I plug it in it came out of the top a little bit and I don't know if that's making the breaker come apart cup breaker break

I'm not finding any videos about if you get water into where the power cable connects into the submersible pump and having continuity on both the positive and negative.
