The spring of my classic 3 had some issue it was not retracting the rope. The second I opened it and fixed it again. It started working better than before. I have the #FlexiClassic3 for 6 years now and I am super happy of its quality and make. This is what I call #returnoninvestment.. The best dog leash in the world. And thank you for the video.
Take care. When i tried the spring got unleashed sudenly and fast, i was lucky not to cut myself. After that it was impossible to get it back on place.
I was retracting my dogs leash & it suddenly got stuck & locked up! I've fixed the older model of these type of leashes in the past! I unscrewed the 2 little Phillip head screws. I then carefully tried prying the leash retractor apart with a small flat screwdriver. But it wouldn't pry apart! These leashes use to be durable & now? Like every thing else? Prices are sky-high & the quality goes down the toilet!
Hi, thank you for your question. In my opinion it is not possible to make the spring more loose. Over the time the spring become more loose if you use it. But at the same time the material is getting weaker. If you have a Flexi Leash you maybe can you a so called "Flexi Soft Stop". This is an addon in form of a elastic band for your leash. With it the leash is more soft and the dog is not hit bei the full force of the leash.
Interesting, but my advice is don't waste your time! The main springs are brittle, have not been properly tempered, and as a result have no tensile strength like a good clock spring, and will break again and again. I've never seen such cheap poor quality springs. You can actually snap them with your fingers! Really worrying. My dogs life is worth a lot more than this! Won't touch this brand again I'm afraid. 😡😡
All that trouble and you didn't take the twisting tension off your line before reeling it back in. ☹ I suspect this will twist in on itself and tangle inside again before long. Great video otherwise.
