This video shows you how to repair a horse rug. It shows three different types of break and three types of repair.
L-Shaped tear repair:
1: See which of the three patches supplied in the Horse Rug Repair Kit best fit the area of the tear.
2: Put the patch underneath the outer layer of the rug and ensure it covers the area of the rip (with room to spare).
3: Glue the outer edge of the tear to the patch using either the 15g tube or 5g tube (depending on the size of the tear).
4: Press the edges down gently and then fold the flap onto the edges so that the patch is no longer visible.
5: Align the two edges of the outer layer so that the repair lines up.
6: Put some glue over the outer layer of the horse rug along the lines of the tear. Smooth it down with the spatula.
7: Leave for 24 hours to cure in a dry, warm environment.
Pinhole repair:
1: Put a small amount of glue over the hole and smooth it down with a spatula.
2: Leave to cure for 24 hours in a dry, warm environment.
If the hole is large, stick one of the Tuff Tape patches on the inside of the outer layer of the rug and glue over the patch (to stop the inner and outer layer of the rug sticking together). It isn't a problem if the Tuff Tape patch stays on the repair.
Buckle seam repair:
1: Glue along the line of where the seam was.
2: Press the two edges of the repair together and hold in place with a clip.
3: Add more glue along the line of the seam to strengthen the repair.
4: Leave to cure for 24 hours in a dry, warm environment.
