Very good; should have imbedded small copper wires first, forming a circle, with a soldering iron,if forces will be involved there; I epair laptops and the case, the screw posts, and the hinges i repair similarly; it stays stronger than the original; i do overdo it, where it is feasible; the cianoacrilate + baking soda is amazing; sometimes i reinforce the repair with a small net or with small copper wires where needed and possible.
For 60 $, you can buy a plastic welder that comes with everything you need. I use it as a mechanic, and around the house, it paid for itself in the 1st week.
@@mixalhs8155Baking soda is crap. Plastic welder only works if you have the missing piece. It's kinda expensive but 3d printer works great and you can glue/plastic weld them together. How big is the object you're trying to fix?
you could easily did the hole mold only taking the other one and pressing it against a bit of play doh or something like that, also save the use of the drill
Surprisingly it works pretty well. I've seen a couple of automotive channels use this technique not on motor parts but on different plastic parts in a lot of different situations. I saw the results and you'd be surprised how strong and well it works
@@lionellosanti Right. As a matter of fact I just mentioned this process to a truck mechanic neighbor of mine who was showing me this plastic part he had to replace. He couldn't get the exact part but the one he got wasn't fitting right. I told him about this simple solution and how strong it was and he was a skeptical at first but when he saw the videos and then Googled it himself he was pretty surprised and very optimistic about repairing the original piece👍🏼
@@andreilucian10 I'm not sure if it was this video or one of the others I saw that mention different substances can be substituted for baking soda. It would be interesting to see if plastic powder would work. Maybe you can run an experiment using it and post the results
How do I repair a car cabin radiator nozzle? The material is fibre-filled PP and it has to withstand a temperature of over 100 degrees... If that's impossible, you'll have to dismantle the whole dashboard to change those bloody plastic nozzles...
Yeah that 8 seconds of drilling costs an arm and a leg, ESPECIALLY on a rechargeable. So, youobviously know what that part is. What is it, and hide much would it cost? Asking for a friend.
